Thank you so much for having me Andertons, Captain and Pete. Was a huge honor. I’m also blown away by the incredible comments from everyone. Thank you to everyone. Truly. You’ve made my year already!
Was great hearing you learnt so much from the guitar magazines in the 90’s. I used to love seeing what was on the cd’s each month! I lived in didsbury for years, Manchester should be adding you to the born and bred guitar legend list mate
@@finkamusic621 ha thanks so much!! Yeh I loved those magazines and still get them from time to time. I know didsbury very well. Went to school there and a lot of my mates are from there. Grew up in levenshulme
@@Zeppelinbarnatra I just found this, and thanks to Lee, discovered your incredible skills. Simply wonderful. Your cover of Gimme Shelter blows me away. Just amazing.
If it’s him playing Kashmir mate I’ve seen it…it was that good I did consider throwing my guitar in the bin. Best thing I’ve ever seen (along with Pete Townsend doing Magic Bus on Jools Holland…check that s**trout dude it’s amazing)
One of the first videos I saw of him (I don't remember which one but obviously it was brilliant), just before he turns off the camera he wiggles his hand like saying "I'm sorry I can't do any better, this will have to do, I tried".
Nathaniel is an incredible inspiration. I have never had a guitar teacher,.. self taught except for a few teachers online, Truefire,.. things like that, but I would absolutely freak out if I could be one of his students.
It’s that awesome guitarist off of Instagram, and he’s in my local guitar shop. The captains face while Nathaniel was playing out sums up how most of us feel.
What a Legend. I was so happy when you posted that you were doing a video with Nathaniel. Its mind boggling to watch him play like that. So inspiring...
Great to see Nathaniel on here! Incredible ability and so modest. I can't be the only one who loves how he plays all the parts classic songs like 'Crazy Little Thing' flawlessly, blows everyone's minds and then casually stops as if it was nothing. Thanks for making this! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I love hearing people's stories about their first guitar. I was blessed to have a guitar-playing dad who knew what good gear was. He bought me my first guitar and amp in 1973 - a 1961 Fender Duo Sonic (still have it) and a 1960 Fender Princeton (sadly, don't have it anymore).
My favourite guitar player! Got me back to this channel after a long time, great to see the content quality, right back into healthily obsessing about guitars I guess!
So glad you made this video Lee and didn’t let the opportunity pass! Really enjoyed it, been watching Nathaniel on Insta for a while. Great to see he is actually a mortal like the rest of us, just way more talented!
Only just heard of this guy. The most inspiring player I’ve heard in ages. His feeling comes out so full on it sends the hairs on the back of my neck standing up.
I've seen many You Tube videos. Seems like a good guy, great guitarist and fun friend. Always a pleasure to watch, listen and get a free lesson. Thanks
So awesome you had Nathaniel on! He is absolutely incredible! Very cool to see that such an awesome musician is also a nice humble guy too :-) Great video!
This was awesome. Love that today there are more ways than ever for talented guitarists to find an audience and share their stories. So inspiring and communal. Wish you the best of luck in 2022 on the band front Nathaniel! I’ve been a long time follower and used to live by CME. Great group of folks there. Can’t wait to get back this spring when Ariel Posen plays in Chicago.
Great interview very entertaining 👏👏👏👏 Nathaniel's unique style of guitar playing sounds so good 👍👍 I know this video is two years old, don't mind me I'm a little late to the show😝🤙
Fantastic! Very cool seeing you two jam together, Captain Lee! Been following Nathaniel for quite awhile. He ROCKS the CME Band, they are just PHENOMENAL! CME is the closest we have to ANDERTON’S! ⭐️⭐️🎸⭐️⭐️
Murphy is exactly what I am “on the guitar”, as per learning others music. I never had a BIG yearning to write my own although I have along w/instrumentals but I get it!
I agree with pretty much everyone, Nate's talent is mind boggling! But I must say that I think that he and Les Paul would have been a great matchup and would have been a blast to watch them together. Amazing!
Nathaniel MURPY is the MAN!!!!!! I’m hooked on him so bad after the “Kashmir”, bit that I’m still in awe of him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME & TALENTED MAN!!!❤
Thank you captain, thank you Nathaniel!!! Another great show! I had to laugh amid to night loudly, such a great play telling us he might mess up the song. I laughed tears, I was so touched. This very day, started so badly, now I very happy, just thanx! All the best
Great interview with a towering guitar talent. Thanks Captain for continually stuffing my brain with such great videos, info, and most of all...world class players.
Ok... this is me showing my appreciation. I have just discovered Nathaniel Murphy and am knocked out by his ability, musicality and tastefulness. And Mr. Lee, you're certainly no slouch when it comes to playing guitar! I've been very impressed with many of you younger cats that are making names for yourselves these days (and I say that as an elderly gent who is still fortunate enough to get on stage and spank the plank on a regular basis). The guitar world is certainly still very much alive.
Nathaniel is my absolute guitar hero. Discovered him about a year ago and have been RE watching all of his stuff ever since. Crazy little thing called love is an insane arrangement. Probably watched it 20 times now. I can’t imagine the amount of work and practice involved in honing your craft to this level. Can’t wait to see what he does next !!!
First time I'd heard your voice... Totally thought you were American until today 🤣 Your guitar playing is phenomenal and so unique. Always love hearing you play
You have inspired me to keep going , not just because some one told me I have to play other artists music but to play my own stuff in the way I like it Thank you 🤘🏻
Hi, I didn't knew anything about Nathaniel, but I deeply respect and admire, when a talented musician and person, is so humble, simple and modest, and as a bonus, still with a simple rig, he is and outstanding, innovative player. Thank you very much indeed, glad to meet him. Take care.
This was BEYOND a treat!!! WOW!!! Nathaniel Murphy and The Captain. Nathaniel is such a talented yet humble guy. He’s always be so impressive on the CME videos but this video gave a new insight to this incredible musician, The ONLY thing I wished had happen was a three way jam session with The Captain, Nathaniel Murphy and Danish Pete. I do hope you made one and are just getting it ready to post. I so love these Anderton’s videos. I wish Anderton’s was my local music shop. Instead I’m stuck a few blocks away from Guitar Center in Hollywood, Ca.
Do not know how I missed this. I guess I only recently ‘discovered’ this guy’s talents on the CME channel. What an incredible, versatile player. I had been wondering about his story over the past few months, and had no idea it was all right here on my favorite channel.
Nathaniel represents so well what's beautiful and great about being Human and lives his life as a demonstration of how to live in this world Joyously, appreciating the moment and grateful for the opportunity. Many will want to learn to play guitar that way, I want to learn more how to Live "that way".

What an amazing player and a great interview. I could never hope to be any where near Nathaniel but I love the fact that it inspires me, and hopefully others, to experiment and try new techniques. Lee's face at the end was a picture......then I realised that I was pulling the same face! In the words of Shakin' Stevens, Lovely stuff!

Whoa, Captain, that Tele is extremely classy mate. I love the work you all do at Andertons. You should be proud of the “buzz’ and quality you have created on TH-cam. Thanks for the time and effort.
I just watched Nathaniel Murphy on Anderton’s music and Rick Beato’s interviews. Someone said he’s a very modest young man and I truly agree. I’m too old to ever play like that (67) buts it’s great to be able to sit back and listen to him play. He should get more exposure!!

Bonamassa invited him to play with him on his gig in Chicago when they crossed ways in CME. That tells a lot, for sure

Nathaniel taught me how to play many years ago in Manchester. It's safe to say the pupil has not surpassed the master!
You know a guitar player is good when he plays music you don’t normally listen to and the sheer skill involved just grabs your attention.
I'm on a Nathaniel Murphy TH-cam tour after seeing him in Rick Beato's recent "Kashmir" video. I may be gone for quite some time! 👏👏👏
Nathaniel is an amazing musician and person! Kudos for having him on the show!

So lovely to see you on here mate. Thoroughly enjoyed the interview. Phenomenal player and a lovely guy. ❤️
I love it when great players are so humble.

I'm here in April 2024 having just watched Rick Beato's interview with Nathaniel!
Easily one of the most insanely talented guitar players that every lived !!!…. Period .
I think however that his subtle nuances would be swamped within a band context ( certainly at volume)
@@TheHumbuckerboy ..watch the "Full Band Friday's" series on CME's TH-cam channel…..he does quite well in a band context.
@@docsiltanen Thanks, I shall endeavour to check it out.
