    Always love seeing Good Time Charlie at his best!! Happy the both of you had cooler temps to work in especially a 7 to 8 hrs bee removal. The area you worked in was beautiful! Wish you could have added Good Time Charlie's take while going back up those stairs..lol!!! God Bless you both.

    I like when property owners want to try & keep the bees, the intention of cohabitation is heartwarming to me 💗

      I encourage it all the time, however, most simply want the bees removed. It is always encouraging to me when the homeowner inquires about the possibility of keeping the bees on the property. So far, this year I have done it for 4 homeowners and it has worked very well for them. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace.

    63 is like winter in Tucson. I wear long pants all the time. Because it is so hot this year everything is air conditioned. The cold from those AC's make my legs cold. And it keeps my legs from burning in the sun. God bless the bees and you and Charlie and everyone that helps give them a new protected home in which to live.
    WOW that is a huge hive. I like that thermal cam. It is really the best. Is the owner of the mansion a bee keeper too?
    Jeff, it is NOT safe to use a cord with a broken wire. Please do not use it anymore. Get it replaced. You do not want a fire.

    I used to be more like you Mr. Ed...now I'm like Good Time Charlie! lol That is a pretty little cabin! I wish you and Mona could have come up to our family cabin in Hardy, AR. The Spring River is a cold spring fed river. One of the biggest natural springs in the world, Mammoth Springs, AR. And they do have trout hatcheries there. Used to be just a small deal, now I think they have built a lot of hatcheries. I haven't been able to go home in many years d/t my disabilities. I actually sold my half of our family cabin to my estranged aunt last year. Liked to have broken my heart forever. But I know I have Heaven to look forward to. I thought you forgot your intro haha What a beautiful piece of land with teh river. Them bees drink the from the same river as yours. Only 6 miles away. Some times if you do not find the queen and you leave the bees in anew hive close by with the majority of the brood and eggs in. They will tell the Queen to move in. I have had this happen on a farm near a chicken coup. Could not find the queen. I almost got the queen on camera flying to hive the following morning. 7 feet away from the removal. I was sitting observing with a cuppa thinking about moving the hive then wush the queen flies in with around 15 workers.

  • @WarmFuzzyVibes
    @WarmFuzzyVibes ปีที่แล้ว

    I hope these homeowners learn to seal up holes in outside walls! It is great though they want to keep these bees! What an education that is and a blessing! Oh, my, I just realized if the queen was still there in the wall, could she start up another hive in there (assuming the homeowner never seals up those outside holes?!) 😮 Well, if that happens, they might swell not bother fixing the sheetrock and just stick some plexiglass in the cutout! Enjoy the bees and all! 😊

    Good works Guys. What a beautiful Property and River Scene.
    Here in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 we are being battered by Storm "Babet". Its been Raining almost x2 Months worth of Rain in x3 Days. Local River has burst its banks big time. Not 64F or up to 80sF here, more like mid 40s to 50s. Cold and Wet. Yuck !
    No Fishing today. Know some Folk have seen their Cars flow away down local Streets in others places more affected than here.
    Its been bad for eg Aberdeen and surrounding regions.
    Luckily before this Storm was 'named' or identified, all my Hives and Colonies were Fed, tied Down and had heavy Weights applied to Roofs. Bee season is definitely over in my area. Think this Beek might want to Hibernate soon. 😉
    Saw on UK TV, a USA Bear break into a House find the Freezer Draw and take out a Frozen Lasagne and then the Bear climbed out and left by the Kitchen Window.
    So funny what Nature can get up to. Thought Bears liked yummy Honey ? 🍯
    Will "Keep on Watching" until next time. 😎

    A complicated removal but done in the best way possible (as always). Is it possible to properly clean things up once a hive has been removed or will it be case of ripping the wall/ceiling apart and build it with new material?

    • @JeffHorchoff
      @JeffHorchoff  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually, bees will clean the mess up all by themselves, of course it will be robber bees, but that's just fine. Generally I suggest that the homeowner leave the wall opened for 4 or 5 days allowing the mess to be cleaned up, but after that, the wall can be filled with insulation and the sheetrock replaced. Thanks for watching. God's peace.

      It is stunning there. Lovely that the bees can be relocated to a new hive. Great removal, what a job!

      @JeffHorchoff  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much for your offer, very kind of you. However, over the years I have tried at least 3 different types of headlamps, and to date, none of them have put the light exactly where I need it when I need it. So far, holding the flashlight with my teeth has the best results. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace brother.

    How do you clean up that mess of honey?

    • @JeffHorchoff
      @JeffHorchoff  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I pick up all the really big spills, but all the honey that is in the walls robber bees will clean that up. In just 2 or 3 days it will all be gone and so will the robber bees. Thanks for watching. God's peace.

      Yes I do. The bees made an emergency cell queen and the queen has hatched. It will be interesting to see just how these bees progress and I will do a follow up video, stay tuned. Thanks for watching. God's peace Keith.

    Do they destroy the insulation on the wiring? And have the eaten all the insulation away?

    • @JeffHorchoff
      @JeffHorchoff  ปีที่แล้ว

      I do not think there was any insulation in the area where the bees were. Why, I can't say, but I did not see any signs of it. Maybe they just missed that spot. The following day I did find her, dead on the ground. Fortunately, the bees made an emergency cell queen and she hatched. I went into the hive yesterday but did not see any new brood or eggs, still may be a bit early. Thanks for watching. God's peace Larry.

    WHY DON'T YOU GET A HEAD LIGHT THAT FITS OVER YOUR FOREHEAD, THAT WAY YOU DON'T HAVE TO PUT THE FLASH LIGHT IN OUR MOUTH

    • @JeffHorchoff
      @JeffHorchoff  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Over the years I have tried at least 4 different headlights hoping to help, but the problem is they NEVER put the light where I need it, and because of that, holding the flashlight with my teeth has been the most effective way of doing it. Fortunately, I have strong teeth and jaw muscles so there is no problem there. The part that is bad is the bees can sting me in the face because my veil is on my skin. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Michelle.

    Not one of your tidier removals. All the wires and the old comb didn't seem to be cooperating. Sure was some ugly, dripping clumps. Hope the Queen shows up. Entertaining video, nevertheless. Thanks for sharing.

    Putting electrical wires behind board like that would be very illegal here, it is a fire hazard this being nit a real house, but being a wooden construction. Dangerous..

      In our area, and in most of all the US, it is code to do so and is the general practice. I find it very interesting how different countries have different building codes. Thank you for sharing that and for watching. Until the next one, God's peace.
