Remember the 1 EU minister from your own country that is ‘apparently’ representing its countries citizens is more then likely not in sync with the population opinion. For example in the EU referendum, 52% of the general public wanted to leave and by constituent area it was 68%. Yet in the British parliament most MPS voted to remain. Added to that, most political parties get into power with only about a 1/3 of the votes from the electorate. So having that 1 minister ‘representing’ their citizens in a council compiled of 26 ministers from other countries in which we have NO democratic control over is NOT democracy. It’s just a political train set for the privileged politicians who make it work for the privileged demographic!
