Well thankyou very much Mr Nez0 😂 had an rdx since Jan 2023 been my favourite chassis and now the curiosity has gotten the better of me so a rd 2.0 has now been ordered. My rdx out performs all my other very expensive chassis and great to see the other manufacturers upping there game. Keep the vids coming my friend. We love them here in the UK. Your name pops up a lot in conversation.
Thank you very much for all the love from the UK! I want to go there to get some skidz :D Glad I can help :) Yiss the RDX does perform amazing well with little tuning compared to basically everything else right now lol :D
Great video! The only thing missing was drifting footage and driving comparison. I’ve read the RDX can be driven at higher angles and higher speeds than the RD2.0, but most seem to disagree with that. What are your thoughts? Oh and unfortunately, I don’t have a local track so I’ll be stuck in parking lots and basketball or tennis courts. So those surfaces will have an impact on driving dynamics. And I’m curious which car is more durable.
I bought a $130 sakura D5 pro limited clone chassis on Amazon and honestly it’s solid enough with a crap ton of tunablility. I don’t recommend for new drifters cuz I’m not new to RC so I went through the whole pre assembled chassis with locktite and taking extra special care not to strip any thing before I ran any power through it cuz I didnt want screws falling out of the belt system and shredding belts or gears. I will say u need to take of the spur gear and lock tite those cuz one backed out on the first couple test runs and stated eating my plastic spur which brings be to my next point make sure you don’t cheap out on properly set up spurs and pinions I got all hardened shit and making sure that they are the same pitch and made sure to mesh the gears right. Oh and if you have the money I recommend getting some NICE shocks with soft springs cuz the chassis is super light being made out of graphite and aluminum so it’s hard to get suspension response cuz it’s so light.
Great comparison video! The recent AE release renewed my interest, and im comparing models now... the Yokomo design appeals to me more between these two. If you were to get 2 kits, Yokomo being one, would the secong be MST RMX2.5 , AE DC10, or the Reve-D?
I was going for RDX, but RD2.0 was €100 cheaper in the same shop and offers a little bit more according to the youtube reviews. I have almost fully upgraded MST XXX-D HT VIP and am planning to convert it to RWD too😊
So far i've done simple yet highly effective upgrades including a flex style carbon chassis (Bingo), Soft springs from Reve-D, turnbuckles for steering links and rear upper links, removed front knuckle stoppers, Rhino C-LSD differential and that's it :D
Love your videos buddy, and the character you bring to them/are. Thanks to your advice I went with RD2.0 and I love it. Can't wait for you to crack the code and get it dialled in(so I can copy). What about both chassis with same electronics on both on the track together. After 15min you swap remotes (or longer to really get the feel) with your buddy/guest driver(and body to avoid confusion :) ), run another 15min and both give opinions. Next episode could be different geometry etc. or RD2.0 vs SD2.0 .
I had been thinking about something like the same electronics/diff chassis comparisons with either myself or other drivers. I did shoot some videos like this in the past and the results were very interesting. It's worth attempting again :D I know for these two chassis everyone will notice the difference of spool vs gear diff :D
I have both of these cars and out the box I give it to the rd 2.0. The big difference to me was the diff. I hated the spool on the rdx it felt odd to me. I’ve only ever used gear diffs though and I run on carpet. Both definitely are amazing but the rd 2.0 I give a slight advantage just because of the diff and the fact it is more tunable out the box. The rdx does have amazing plastic shocks though 😂
Yup that seems to be the consensus. So far the RDX does have the best plastic shocks I've ever encountered and would consider them an actual upgrade to several other plastic shocks out there :D
I wanted a detailed Video - I got a detailed Video. Far too detailed man. I had to take a nap half the way.. XD You're not supposed to described every plastic piece in its form - one can see that. The key is to explain things one can not see at first glance. ^^ But... I got all the infos I wanted and sooooo much more LOL
Right now I won't even bother as MST as lost my trust. From the out of box tests I've done over time with all three of these cars...the RMX 2.5 was not better than either of them.
Edit: Although you have preference for the RD - You basically said @ 1:03:03 forward that the RDX is the better car. It seems to be good enough out of the box to not need all the catalog of parts most people throw at them (which in return makes it a cheaper car) although the initial cost might be higher.

hey up dude, howd you find the rd2.0 vs your rdx?
You read people's mind. Thanks for the informative video 😊

To me i love them both but the way how the RDX just drifts fits my style of driving and somehow I went back to spool and to me I love it
Yiss for some it will come down to a personal driving preference/feel and that's totally valid :D

Thx for the awesome vid as always Nezo. Do you mind sharing some tuning tips on how to put your RDX to the next level.

@@BadShoppe Hi, do you know the length and size of turnbuckle you need for ReveD RDX upgrade??? hard to find info on it
Can you do a comparison between the RD 2.0 and the Redcat RDS builders kit.
yeaaaah! haha love your vids bro 🤘
Thank youuuuu :D

which chassis is the best? these two, sakura d5 mr evo v2, or mst rmx 2.5???

What do you say about the new mst rmx?
So far...don't bother. If you break a part, prepare to wait forever or hunt the globe for parts. The level of customer care is non-existant.
how would you compare these to the mst rmx 2.5?
Right now I won't even bother as MST as lost my trust. From the out of box tests I've done over time with all three of these cars...the RMX 2.5 was not better than either of them.

Oh wow, this one's a long video
Yokomo says they make no money from RD2.0 at all
Marketing tactics lol. Im just glad they did things this time and were just totally lazy with a name change only.
