Some people use the latest in camera tech, yet achieve the same result. I think it's holding up pretty good. Whack it on to a gimbal, do a bit of 16:9 cropping and colour correction = Hero 7 quality!
Apart from the fact that you sound like a pokemon on my old gameboy color on the Gopro 1, the picture quality is surprisingly still holding up with decent lighting conditions
the original battery still works on my Hero 1 amazingly. no bulge. I have some no name batteries much newer that are already starting to bulge a little.
it's actually not too bad, some color correction and recording the audio with something else then it would be pretty good. only problem is the go pro hero's audio imo.
The first time I ever saw a GoPro, a Channel 7 cameraman had it. He was shooting a segment for Great South East on kayak tours in the Redlands and using the GoPro for a bit of B-roll (C-roll?). I think he had the same problem as you with it not recording at the right time, either that or the battery ran out. None of the GoPro stuff showed up in the final video. 😄
Our eyes see perfect when walking on Deck 5 of a cruiseship when on Deck 14, well 15 for that. go inside and the camera will fail to deliver Quality, you must Play with Protunes, BIG time
🤙🏼👀👀🤙🏼
*So retro,* makes me think about how easily people could make classic lookin skate videos!
Definitely!
Pretty good quality for its age. Much better than I thought it would be just the sound quality was not the best.

Great retro looking footage... Nice video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
That’s different. It’s almost like watching a VHS MTV video.
Wow it’s crazy how far we have come, we really do live in the future

This brought me back! Quality is not that bad.

I think it has a really cool aesthetic.

Quality is good
For a camera from a few years ago, it records very well.
😮
The 1 still looks good
Does it only have one field of view or does it have linear as well?
linear came years later with the Hero 4 not the earlier vergins
Which potato did you use to film this?
what video did you watch?
The image quality is still pretty good but the sound really hurts 🙉
I liked it!
Go pro really change videography in the action cam world or lack of action cams 📷
I’m pretty sure the OG GoPro only records in 10 sec intervals…
I think this video has better quality that from my first camera Gopro 3 White😅
Looks like some of those 2009 videos 😂
I was expecting this to look so much worse
