If you don't like the topics its your business, but if you look at the lyricism, storytelling, flows and rhyme schemes, they are on top level. The production is magnificent, its one of Dre's best work. Also, the amazing thing about Relapse is the ability to keep that serial killer vibes in every song without sound ripetitive or boring. Almost every song got a fantastic and twisted storytelling. I think Relapse is Em's most creative album, and I'd put it right before the SSLP, MMLP and TES. I would say that is even better then the SSLP. So no I'm not stupid and I'm not playing ahah

You saw what happened when Tec N9ne gave him a track. You saw what happened when Royce gave him a track. You saw what JUST happened when he finally got Eminem on his own track. Logic has had flashes of greatness here and there, but overall he’s always been a slightly better than mediocre rapper. His style of rap and the subject matter he seems to be most comfortable with has run its course, so that’s why there was such a dramatic shift in tone on this album. But even the flexing on his haters and clapping back at internet warriors is a theme we get plenty of on his mixtapes, so just because it was different doesn’t mean it’s new. Nonetheless, his core fan base will ride with him no matter what, so I don’t expect the next album to be any better.

I think the thing that pisses me off so much about Logic is that he had so much potential and skill. I became a HUGE fan of his after being introduced to his music by a friend around the time The Incredible True Story cane out (and I listened to all of his mixtapes and Under Pressure right after), and he has been on such a sharp decline after that point that it’s impossible for me to say he makes good music anymore. But people get so consumed in his opinions that they can't formulate their own opinion and they end up sticking to fantanos ideas. At the end of the day music is subjective. Like most people I do enjoy music "so bad it's good" (Angelic 2 the Core comes to mind) but after 1 or 2 listens I never listen to it again. It just becomes depressing. And most of the time "so bad it's good" music isn't that great anyways.

Logic has had flashes of greatness here and there, but overall he’s always been a slightly better than mediocre rapper. His style of rap and the subject matter he seems to be most comfortable with has run its course, so that’s why there was such a dramatic shift in tone on this album. But even the flexing on his haters and clapping back at internet warriors is a theme we get plenty of on his mixtapes, so just because it was different doesn’t mean it’s new. Nonetheless, his core fan base will ride with him no matter what, so I don’t expect the next album to be any better.

No it didn't. He talked about basically two marginalized groups in Everybody. That whole "deep" concept with Degrasse Tyson and all the other skits didn't translate throughout the album. He did try harder on that project though. This album is peak "idgaf about quality" Logic.
Everybody is actually decent. Dope production and enjoyable tracks and lyrically he spit more bars than he did on COADM.

I think the thing that pisses me off so much about Logic is that he had so much potential and skill. I became a HUGE fan of his after being introduced to his music by a friend around the time The Incredible True Story cane out (and I listened to all of his mixtapes and Under Pressure right after), and he has been on such a sharp decline after that point that it’s impossible for me to say he makes good music anymore. It’s like each album release I’m afraid of getting my hopes up because they’re crushed every. single. time. I’m still a fan, but he fell off.
Crazy that, in general, I haven't seen much defense of this album even from his core fanbase. For an artist that had so much potential, Logic is destroying his own career for some reason.

But people get so consumed in his opinions that they can't formulate their own opinion and they end up sticking to fantanos ideas. At the end of the day music is subjective. Fantano formulates his own ideas on certain music. I think differently than he does. Basically what I'm trying to say is all fantano fans bandwagon him to much.
