I have loved the St Lucia vlogs. My family are from the island and I go practically every year. I was there in July and I am back there in two weeks and these vlogs are getting me excited 🇱🇨
you are absolutely correct that the people in St. Lucia love country music. it surprised me when i went on vacation there and heard everyone playing country music all the time. and they like the good old stuff -- like Hank Williams Sr., Merle Haggard, George Jones, and Johnny Cash -- not the crappy new bro-country stuff.
I am a St Lucian / UK dual National and travel back and forth to St Lucia all the time. Your footage is great. Thanks for promoting my island. Slight correction: the view of the island to the north of Rodney Bay is Martinique. Petite Martinique is part of Grenada. I wasn’t aware that restaurants gave “local prices” but hotels and excursions definitely do. It’s to encourage local people to visit and enjoy their island for a lower cost than it would usually be. I’m not surprised about your experience at The Naked Fisherman. I’m sorry to say they need some urgent training on customer service - especially at those prices. The last two times I’ve been there, I left pretty swiftly due to rude staff. It’s a shame as the setting is incredible. Luckily they certainly do not represent how friendly St Lucians are. Keep up the good work
