Catholics nuns covered there heads and dressed modesty
and they ( Christian ) said it's form of devotion, but when muslim women dress the same they called it form of oppression.. what a double standard..

The muslim people is moreeee following the Jesus thought it self than cristiany. We have to respect Jesus peace upon of him n have iman on him, the same level of Muhammad may peace upon of him. Bc they both are messenger of God. To worship one n only God.
Really, you follow Jesus more than Christians? Does the Quran tell you to love your enemies? Pray for those who persecute you? To not take revenge? Not retaliate when someone opposes Islam? To have only 1 wife? To not divorce your wife except for 1 reason, adultery? To love infidels? To never tell a lie?

Christians always ask why Muslims interfere in our religion. You have no right to do that. You watch them a lot, and we do not see this

Walking around Jilbab, then... oh.. oops.. there are other terms appeared...
So, every terms certainly had reason to use in conversation. Moreover in Arab. The community of Arabian people, precisely in Hijaz, didn't have great civilization history. Their cultural heritage only recorded in literature work which was descends from generation to generation by oral tradition. From it we could made conclusion that oral tradition trully based on how any words difference in its meaning while used it to say something meanwhile in dictionary looks has same meaning. Like words تأويل ta'wiil and تفسير tafsiir, both meant interpretation but actually its understanding different.
The term jilbab (or jalaabib) has its closely friends, ie. niqoob نقاب and hijaab حجاب and خمار khimaar. Many schollars around 14th century then moved in 19th century through Wahabi sect "looks like" made no differs on it. All of it judged as jilbaab.
If we pull those words long away to back, we could make difference on their meanings, ie.:
- jilbaab is a robe, its like a robe which refers to priest's robe on other religions;
- hijaab is a blind curtain, you know that at the past, every respectable ladies often use it in box shade of their horse wagon as a limit btween them and outside world, the world of comnon people;
- niqaab is a veil, usually used on their head or for closed their faces while need it to limitation them from foreign men eyes;
- and the last one is khimaar. Khimaar actually as a body shield refers to what warrior used in the field of war. There is a verb guard or protect genital and rectum for women in a verse of Quran about a noun of jalaabib and also a verb of khumur or grapes which connected with the women breast (what's on a shirt pocket).
As long as I knew, a term hijaab or blind curtain was used for the widows of the prophet saw. special for them. This caused after the death of the messenger pbuh, they cacn't get marryed again and live like nuns.
A term of niqaab or veil also used in many countries, as like in the land of China and sub-continent of India with same function. This thing what understood as jilbab in Indonesia or named the veil (kerudung, Indonesian language) could used to covering a head or a face.
Jilbaab or jalaabib or robe also as an old tradition in many country includings Europe.
But khimaar or body protection for women refers coating shirt for underwear. This was caused there is a special tretment when saying something to guard genital and rectum, ie. underpants. But there was no bra at that time....

He is basically saying that the way to protect women is not educating men to respect them but to force them to hide themselves. Very hypocrite. The day people will understand religions come from ignorance and fear the world will be a better place to live. Ancient greeks thought lightinings were thrown by Zeus...I'n not atheist, I'm agnostic, I don't know if there is a God or not, I can't know, but what I know for sure is that if there is one he surely is smarter than the one represented by religions.
So,make sure your mother,sister and your daughter going naked in the crowd street..they don't need to hide them self anymore..
