Even if the fight between Shuro and Laios is light hearted in tone. It carries a lot of emotional weight. It literally puts entirety of Laios' character into perspective. All the eating and resting before reaching the Red Dragon is suddenly put into perspective in comparison with Shuro. Laios wasnt just goofing around, my man was preparing
I think Toshiro's feelings are a little more complicated than that. Like yeah Laios annoyed him, but if he truly didn't care I don't think he would've given him the "if you're ever in trouble ring this and I'll come help you" bell at the end of the episode. You have to remember that he's on several weeks of eating and sleeping poorly, and then fighting through a dungeon on top of that. People tend to snap and lash out when they're tired and stressed and hungry, say things they don't really mean.
As someone in the autism spectrum, I can understand Shuro and Laios point of view. Shuro is understandably frustrated at Laios's density and lack of social cues and especially that he gave him a nickname that was a bastardization of his actual name. But at the same time he lacked the spine to make his feeling known other than minor social cues which clearly wasn't working, so it's a now a him problem.
Shuro says that he "told him enough that other people would understand," and in fact, he has never caused any trouble with other people. On the other hand, Laios has been disliked since his school days, and has no friends other than Shuro. The only reason they have been able to remain "friends" up until now is because Shuro has been overly patient; a normal person would quickly distance themselves if Laios offered them friendship.
4:46 The incomplete but spoiler free answer is that everyone involved would be put in an elf prison. For the half foots that Chilchuck knew they were given light sentences since they weren’t actually casting spells but a light sentence by elf standards is decades long hence why Chilchuck assumes that they’re all dead. 14:45 Tbh this scene is super emotional for a lot of people definitely not alone here. 21:35 The fact that Laios isn’t interested in that stuff is what unnerves Kabru. He doesn’t get what kind of ruler Laios would become if he defeats the mad mage.
I never seen someone get so emotional at this part, but it's not a bad thing at all. I really enjoy how invested you are and how your attachment to the party and Laios didn't blind you to the perspective of Shuro, reductively classifying him as just an antagonistic dick, as i've seen done other times.
Basically, kabru says that if laios defeats the lunatic mage, then he will become the new lord of the land. Laios only cares about monsters, so it is a matter of concern for kabru whether laios will be a good leader for the entire kingdom or not. It's was pretty much stated in an earlier ep what would happen if someone were to complete the dungeon and defeat the mage.
Your heart does you credit. 12:59 I have younger siblings. It was hard not thinking of them at that point. Black magic to revive them? Yes. Fun little anime about food, right?
They'll explain more in detail as it goes along but it's super illegal to even have knowledge of black magic, let alone using it. The elves would hunt them down and imprison the entire group for being involved at all. Shuro at the end was giving them that item to help smuggle them out of the island in case word ever got out(like if other people saw chimera falin) and they had to go into hiding.
I understand Shuro’s POV, but at the same time it makes me really angry when he says they aren’t taking it seriously, when Laios and Marcille would do anything to save Falin. If Shuro never came across them he would die sooner or later due to malnutrition and just not taking care of himself. That to me sounds more like not taking it seriously.
Honestly this is just very scary to see happen to falin :(

It hurts to see how Laios was so fond of Shuro while he looked at him as a nuisance :(, thanks for the reaction ❤

I like how Laios basically tells Shuro that if you want to help others, you have to take care of yourself fist

18:30 Senshi the MVP ^^ "Have some onigiri, you're not you when you're hungry".

what Shure means is that if laios is unable to return because black magic is illegal so he can't roam free the surface
Kabru is to people what Laios is to monsters. In a more serious story, Kabru would be the hero.
But we got this crew instead.
Shame you're not watching the dub because Marcilles reaction to Falin booba is hilarious. If you know, you know
Woah hey! Emily Rudd is a treasure.
YOOO Faroh, you have great reactions!
Ehehe glad you think so 😂
