They had a couple of Afrikaans guys there. 1 mate of mine around the corner had an Afrikaans mom. They taught "Afrix" in my school until the govt abolished it. It's not as universal as French.
Thank goodness the game is in Durban. Here in Cape Town we are having typical winter conditions. Snowing in some areas, floods, even a mini tornado happened , just very unpleasant . Keep up the great job.

Quick temperature guide in SA for you:
Yes, it's always sunny in SA in winter, but that is essentially on the Highveld (Pretoria, Joburg, etc.), and along the East Coast, by the Indian Ocean, especially where Durban lies.
Along the Durban area temperatures are warm, all year round, as it is a subtropical region and is hot and humid. Therefore expect a lot of fumbling of the ball and knock-ons in the match.
On the Highveld the sun does shine virtually every day in winter - it hardly, if ever rains in winter there - but once the sun goes down the nights are chilly and temperatures can descend to low single figures, or even zero or minus figures.
Cape Town, on the other hand, is different from the rest of the country.
That region has Mediterranean weather which means it has four seasons and a lot of rain in winter.
Generally, temperatures are quite cold in winter in the Western Cape province.

Winter here in Cape Town it rains twice a week. Monday to Wednesday and then Thursday to Sunday.

Wish it was 25 here in Cape Town as we are being hit by cold front after cold front. South Africa has different climates all in one country so weather in one area differs from another.

Ireland are no pushovers. They have really earned massive respect over the last 4 or 5 years, world cup blip excluded, and they beat us there.
Last week, both teams can lament on missed chances or bad calls, but they were still in the fight to the last minute. Respect!
