$1100? It pays to know how to upgrade a pc yourself. I paid $2300 for all the bells and whistles from HP in intels direction because I don't know how. But this is why I subscribed to your channel. I'm going to learn from watching you in these uploads. Great video. Very informative.
@@HardwareSense Thank you. I appreciate that very much. We just got it last night. It arrived but i'm intimidated to try and hook it up. Is it straightforward? Is there a video you would recommend to watch that can show me step by step?

Damn, I recently bought a 25L and wondered when I upgraded with what I thought was an identical 8gb mem stick it dropped from 2666 to 2400. It's too late to return it like you're doing. Do you think HP will offer a bios upgrade to fix this in future? Or will I have to buy the robbery memory from them?
@@HardwareSense i was hoping you could tell me how to make my old SSD bootable on my new Omen PC so i don't lose all my programs. sounds like it's not possible though but thanks for the reply, great channel :)
Could you please tell me what the maximum dimensions a graphics card can be to fit in the HP Omen 30L model? I want to upgrade to the RTX 3080, but I am not 100% sure it would fit... I do know that my Moria3 Motherboard is compatible and I have already upgraded to the appropriate power supply (being a 750W).
HardwareSense thanks for explaining, I think I’ll stick to my current set up for now and in a couple of years just completely switch out everything in the case including the motherboard for better memory compatibility
Hey, I've been watching your Omen 30l videos and there's something that confuses me a little bit. I can't actually find the Coolermaster 750W 80 plus platinum anywhere, did you maybe mean the 850W platinum? If not, could you please send me a link to the 750W because that's the one thing making me worry about this pc. Edit: Or can you tell me the specifications for this psu, I mean L x W x H, because I might just get the gold or bronze 750W then, but I don't know if the gold, which has 160 x 150 x 86 can fit in nicely since the 500W one should be 140 x 150 x 86.
The 750w80+P is offered as an option trough HP.com when you configure the PC before you order it, it's only made for them and not sold at any other retailer. Technically you can install any PSU you want, but these have cable lengths matching exactly the motherboard port distances.
@@HardwareSense I see, I found it but in the place where I'm at I can't customize the PC, therefore the one I'm planning to buy has a 500W psu but I doesn't feel reliable to me. I've thought about buying the RMx 750W 80 Plus Gold, since it should be able to last me for quite a while. But like I said, I dunno if it will fit, especially since hp doesn't specify how big the 750w platinum psu is anywhere. And I didn't know that they had matching cables for distance, good to know. Still, thanks for the help.
I just received my OMEN 30l a couple days ago and realized your M2 SSD is above your GPU and mine actually has a heatsink installed there. The M2 SSD is below the GPU. Could I remove that heat sink to add an M2 SSD? I'm not totally sure what it is there for.

@@samii-i-i That is the Pump what you are calling the head, but that might be your only option, to plug it in, as it's looking for 5V power for the pump, some AIOs use 12v and that would have worked connecting it to the sata cables.
1400..? Do you live in England? I believe it if you mean £1,400. But I know for a fact you don't mean $1,400. In America a build like that would be atleast $1850.
