I absolutely love how everybody is always scheaming to kill/diablorise/distroy antediluvians or extremely powerful vampires, the Gangrel are out there, taking care of their wildlands with no fucks to give.
Gratiano should have been wary of Lasombra's passive acceptance of his fate. That sort of thing *never* happens amongst Cainites. I strongly believe that Grationo himself died that night, and Lasombra took over his body. Just as Mithras took over Monty Coven and Salubri took over Tremere.
I mean that's what happened with Tzimisce for sure, but some also believe that the Lasombra Antediluvian's soul wasn't absorbed, but rather became one with the Void during that event.
In our game, I am Sabbat. In our game, most of the Sabbat was wiped out, and I am a shovelhead brought in to increase numbers and reclaim the United States. I've turned the sabbat into its own militia, infiltrated the Camarill, and even made treaties with many other factions and independents. I've gone so far that I'm soon to be the new regent. I might have to write a whole new sect book with how different the Sabbat in our game is now.
I believe that the Inquisition was the main reason the Anarch Revolt started, as Sires have been abusing Childer since ever, but with hunters pressing Cainite society became too easy to give young vampires as escape goats, so the Inquisitors can claim a great victory after killing a fledgeling, and ignoring the Elder.

This lore is so difficult to get into because it seems everything is to be taken with a grain of salt. When I read wikis they make it seem like Saulot, The lasombra and tzimisce antediluvians are all still alive. It’s confusing as all hell. Like even this lord video states them as dead.
That's exactly why the lore is thrilling. Everything you read could be false, especially if witnesses are few and many of them are dead. I mean, a world of darkness populated by vampire would be boring as hell without some mystery. To adress the specific issue of diablery, keep in mind that if the victim is much more powerful than the attackers, his soul can "take over" the body of the attacker. Which is likely what happened to Tzimisce and definitely to Saulot. Things are probably more complicated with Lasombra though. In any ways, what matters is that vampires (at least the vast majority of them) believe them to be dead.

The Anarchs & Sabbat should unify against the Camarilla
it would organize the anarch rabble and calm the sadism of the Sabbat.
Some parts of the Sabbat might agree with it, but I think many in the Anarchs would consider the Sabbat too inhuman to work with.
