Jake! This is one step beyond! I love how you are leveraging your Effects of After Effects series and showing how pieces of Ae connect under the hood. More broadly you’re showing us how to think in terms of using multiple concepts at a time instead of one at a time. Thanks!
Thank you! I definitely wish I could've put something like this together with each of those videos, but it would've just taken too much time. Glad I'm able to link up some of those effects now though!
OMG. This technique is SO useful. And I love the new Fractal Noise plugin. Jake's really the spiritual successor to Kramer. You're doing a lot for everyone in the field. I'll go over this carefully and use it in many projects I'm sure, ty mate.
That was a lot (of balls). Thanks for the tutorial. I didn't think this effect would be so versatile. I just recently started to really learn what After Effects can do and I'm more and more amazed
hah - I used your terraform idea with the calcs effect and the geolayers plugin to have terraforming look with a controllable view to keyframe around the earth. This was only really possible with expensive 3d plugins till CC Ball Action was updated. I can't believe I hadn't thought to use it before. Good man
I was looking for a tutorial about understanding discplacement map fundamentally and couldn't find one, clicked this video randomly cause looked cool and boy I landed in the right place only
The king stays the king. Also I have that shirt it’s my favorite design they did and I always get compliments on it and people ask me what band it’s from
Just watched for 1 minute of a video...and believe me it the best video of youtube...so so amazing....a hige reolacement for expensive pluginsss....hats offf🎉
I thought I was prepared. I knew the theory but it's so much different. The jokes about balls are endless. One ball joke here is seven ball jokes echoing through my quiet office as I watch without headphones. Do not go quiet during your break today. Balls! Balls! Before the dying of the week!
Que tutorial sensacional, são tantas possibilidades! Muito obrigado por compartilhar esse valioso conhecimento, vou baixar os arquivos e examimar minuciosamente ❤
Dude, I did your course last year and then took 5 effects and applied music and made a walkthrough as examples for music producers…ball action made me ROTF every time I tried recording the video 😂😎🤙🏽. #BestNameEver thanks Jake
Since that course, which really helped me learn a lot about AE, I dug into Blender trying to do some things I couldn’t figure out in AE, and as much as I love AE, the node system in Blender really helps me visually understand the routing of these FX much better. Both are crazy powerful tools, thanks and stay curious.
Dang it Jack! Now EVERYONE will be able to do these cool things in AE and I'll soon be out of a job. That said, the core concepts here are vital for certain looks. I hope people watch the whole video.
bro the implications of this are not fathomable, think about using orb then zooming into a planet of water and using this building the terrain, then terraforming it over millions of years so now it looks like mars, absolutely insane
Oh, yeah…almost forgot to complement your new layout! I’m guessing it takes a little more work, but be assured you look totes pro and it is worth that effort.
Love when you get balls deep into the techniques. Who knew this effect was so powerful?

Thanks for whipping out the balls! Excellent

It took some balls to make this video
Can anyone tell if Mac Mini M4 pro Base variant can handle this ?
Most likely. My MacBook Air M2 can handle it just fine.
And all of a sudden.. we all like balls.
Oh, yeah…almost forgot to complement your new layout! I’m guessing it takes a little more work, but be assured you look totes pro and it is worth that effort.
oh wait it was you posting these on reddit?
Are you implying I lurk on other places of the internet? 🤫
awesome tutorial 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 now i know how to handle balls ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
god damn, your course is so expensive, more than my whole month salary i do as an intern
Bring Brainstorm back!
I distinctly remember everyone begging Adobe to remove that feature 😆

I can hear my computer screaming trying to render the scene💀💀💀
It's honestly not bad at all. Cc Ball Action renders very quickly for what it does.
