gives decent sense of the light-show...but the audio? Doesn't do it "justice". Although the crowd was SO incredibly loud that I could barely even hear Ride the Lightening. Great show!!
From where we were sitting this video's audio was 2x better than what we could actuallty hear with our ears. There's a whole breakdown, 30 minutes or so, about another person who sat up in the nosebleeds at one of their other shows, and they had the exact same issue. It's a whole thing about how the Metallica stage design leads to poor sound for most fans in attendance. Still a great time nonetheless
That's interesting @AZAdventurer. I personally am not a fan of shows in football stadiums, or even basketball arenas for that matter for just that reason. Theaters just can't be beat. But I did notice their speaker arrangement looked to have "gaps" where a column of them might be pointing towards someone and it might not be. For us, they were not directly at us. But I'll say it again, because it made a huge difference was the screaming, behind us. It totally washed out the band. Fortunately as the show went on, people did it slightly less & less. But a few songs would make them do it again. Did you notice that where you were? Or did the sound get worse & better at times? And yes, it was still well worth it all. It was about the 9th time I've seen them since '88. Not the best one, but certainly not the worst.
