This is not a tutorial video. They must be used only by trained and expert people.
If you are not able to calculate loads, ropes, vectors... don't use them.
These rings are made thinking to use ropes with bigger diameter, and to use them in different ways.
Here there are some personal suggestion that WILL NOT substitute ftc instructions:
#1 if there are more than one rope running in the internal hole, they don't have to touch each other. Be carefull also when you retrieve the rope from the internal hole, it could raise and scrape violently against the other rope still in the hole
#2 In particular situations the ring could start to turn
#3 In long and fast descends, the ring could overheat
#4 If the "black cover" worn out, the ring will overheat quicker
#5 it's dangerous if the ring is crushed between two pieces of wood (example: trunk and block of wood in double whip set up)
#6 when you use the external groove. dropping a piece of wood from higher, be carefull that the rope could go out from the groove

In this video, it is interesting to see what happens to the root system of the tree at 2'48 "! Thank you for this video

What kind of bull-line/rigging rope are you using for all this? Looks like 1/2" polydyne but no way that'd hold up here...or maybe it would! I'm fighting my choice between 5/8" and 3/4" polydyne, if you're doing this with 1/2" then I think I'll stick to the 5/8"!!
Thanks a TON for the summary, action vids -especially yours and some others like you who actually do novel stuff instead of just showing routine-but-cool tree work with catchy jingles/music - are always 'neat' but you learn so much more when the creator actually adds something in the summary to help frame things!!
I love the idea of double block rigging with rings (and LOVE 'double whip' as the term instead!!), have you tried out the Safebloc? I've seen people double whip with Safeblocs instead of rings or blocks, it is insane I can't help but think that the "best" (safest, most-efficient etc) way to lower a piece of wood is to do a double Safeblock whip, it inherently adds "counter-force" to aid the groundy(ies) **as well as** reducing anchorage-point stresses!
BTW I LOVE your idea of that doubled-over block plus 2-rings sling, what a beast!!!
Keep up the awesomeness man, you're truly great I think you're tied for the best tthat I've ever seen right along Reg Coates and a couple others, truly innovating both techniques/approaches and even products, the industry owes you major props/thanks!!! Hope all's well in your world man :)

    Ciao Giorgio,
Can you tell me how you estimate the weight of the cutting tree?
You measure the length and the diameter, what is the correlation?
Greetings from Budapest / Hungary 🇭🇺
    Thank you!
    Erik
