Maybe why Gordon's tender keeps falling off the tracks is because Henry's tender has a battery in it, Gordon tender has nothing like the Trackmaster 2 engines.

I think your Gordon Team was struggling because of the lack of the weight on the Plarail Gordon, which most likely is the reason team Henry kept winning, BTW I am in love with the Plarail Henry, I wonder if Plarail will make a redesigned one...

The Plarail/Trackmaster 1 versions are semi-compatible with 2. They have smaller gaps in the grips than the T2, which were enlarged to help it on hill climbing.
