Re: conversations with strangers, my yapping is actually a defense mechanism from awkwardness. I yap so people are distracted from the fact that I am very awkward and anxious. That’s why I am capable of talking to strangers for long hours. It does drain me afterwards tho 😅
I mean, there are two types of extroverts in my book. 1. Those extroverts like me who can start any conversation, but it's difficult to socialise with people they don't really know. 2. Those like my father who even talks to taxi drivers.
If I tell people I'm design engineer I can't answer in just one sentence because they will ask more, so I just tell I work at industry as machine operator
I'm a guy so I rarely get stayed long enough for the barber to have a chat with me. One time a female hairdresser took a rather long time to cut my time. It wasn't the length of time that bothered me but the long pauses. I had to take off my glasses so I couldn't see clearly what was happening. After a while another woman took over and finished everything up quickly. When I returned to my friend's car he asked me what held me up but his wife asked me the real question: WHAT HAPPENED TO MY HAIR! Apparently, the first girl was a new employee and she messed up her side of my hair hence the long pauses. Her boss was having her break so the new girl had to wait for her to clean up her mess. It wasn't that big of a deal aside from the obvious lop-sided hair I was sporting.
She is technically correct, the best kind of correct

Here's a protip: whenever your barber starts yapping, ask them whether they are here to cut hair or to talk. If they keep yapping, never go back.
I have to talk to my barber, only way I can stay awake.
Appreciate ina

I get uncomfortable around people who make conversations go long. I try to fast forward back to silence ASAP

how hard is it to say you’re a streamer and play games for a living
Then they will ask to see your channel. You either have to come up with something vague, or being doxxed.
