- In this video i show how i fitted heated grip to the 450 mt , this is not intended as an instruction video just me doing my own bike. I have no affiliation with Oxford . If any company would like me to review a product please see my contact details in description.
Great video, explains all the possible pitfalls. I've ordered a 450, delivery in March '25 so I'm stockpiling your videos for my' to do' list. Thanks again
@@adrianwhite7251 cheers mate , I'm glad the videos help you. Is that how long the waiting list is now.
Best value and perfoming heated grips on the market. I've used them on 3 bikes now and they never fail. I agree with a well known TH-camr heated grips are the no.1 accessories you should install on your ADV bike. Thanks for the video Bazz!
Cheers mate, thanks for watching. I have them on 3 bikes .
Looks neat with the controls mounted there.
You knew that dipstick would come in handy one day.
LOL yes pays to hang on to old stuff, cheers.
A really useful video thank you, I have never seen a screw holding on a clutch side bar spacer before, makes life much easier than the throttle side.😀
@davidz8 yes I was going to cut the grip off but made a quick job of it. I believe they fitted tube under grip so they were both the same size.
Thanks for the tip about using a dipstick, saved a lot of time
@ericmakin3811 new that dipstick would come in handy one day.
Great addition to the bike. Heated grips are my favorite mod followed by grip puppies then bark busters. Cneers Bazza.
Thanks mate , hopefully warmer hands. I have them on all my bikes.
Hey Bazza, I fitted these on the 650MT with the exact same clutch side setup. I bent the Oxford bracket 110 deg back on itself & fitted it through a bigger hole drilled out on the mirror stalk. Tricky, but doable.
Thanks , you know now I have bark busters I could use the clamp bolts. I'll leave it for now worked fine today.
Very informative Barry👍 Nothing worse than riding with cold and numb hands. Alcohol is a very versatile product however I use it mainly for medicinal purposes 😂 Cheers 🥂
I have had heated grips on all my bikes. I could use some medicimal alcohol now.
@@bazz6670 as long as you don't go out and test the lighting on the 450 afterwards 🍻
Gotta luv heated grips! Great job Bazz! 👏😁
Thanks heaps Bob, heated grips with storm guards should help keep away the cold.
great stuff Can you tell me where the bikes fuse box is? mini or full size blade fuses? regards from west oz :}
Next to the battery is a black box with battery on top, if you open it there are mini fuses.
@@bazz6670 thanks
Hello, good guide/product shocase. There are 2 accessory connections under the left fairing. Could that bule used for the grips? What power requirement do they have? Thanks
@@Svihak177 i believe there is an accessory connection there, could be a good idea to connect. It is 12 volt, maybe check with test light. I think I might hook my gas up there as it gave me a flat battery.
Hi, I wanted to know if you don't turn off the knobs the battery doesn't run down? Maybe by putting a relay you can prevent the battery from discharging
@Desmo07 I haven't had any problems with battery running down. But not a bad idea putting in a relay mate.
Hello, I don't like the controller for the grips been separate. I use grips with little slider button on the inside end of the left grip. And the right grip is on sliders and the cable does not move with twisting of the throttle. I have wire them after the contact and the main fuse box.
Yes I wanted the same , i looked at the whites brand and they were 130 mm long. these were a great price.
Nice one Bazz, easy peasey!
LOL, thanks
It has never occurred to me that anybody in Australia would need heated grips! It's a chilly 14C at 22:45 in Tonbridge but is expected to rise to 18C sometime next week. 8th June!!
lol yea it does get cold here we are in winter now. the top of Australia is warmer , i'm in the South at the bottom ,but summers can be pretty hot.
Good stuff Barry! 🙂
Thanks 👍
Great video Bazz ride safe
Cheers Darren.
Great vid thanks
Thanks for watching, I appreciate it.
Thanks mate
