@@infinitedeath4567 The ability to learn proper technique via the internet changed the game. In the past, new vocalists would have to just do what they thought was the right technique and you had guys blowing out their voices left and right. You got guys like Dickie Allen and Ben Duerr, both of whom aren't very old, doing incredible shit that no one has ever heard before.
Their guitarist chris is also the same age. Fun fact: Izzy the other guitarist, has been writing, recording, and performing music like this since he was 13. He's 23 now but I think that is the biggest reason he is open for younger members. Because he was always the young and talented prodigy. I was in a band with him in 2011 when he was 14 and I was 21, and he helps me a lot with advice on my current band today.

It's not really about how young he is.
Everyone has the ability to produce their own vocals, but everyone only is able to work in their own vocal range and tones.
Even if current artists tried to sound like this guy and vice versa, even when applying the same techniques.
In other words.
Everyone is absolutely unique from the next.

@@Menoetius. I wouldn't say I'm an expert at all but I have been playing drums since I was 3 years old. Not that you need to be a drummer to hear that he was really struggling to play his parts. It's a tough genre, but writing parts that you can actually play isn't a difficult concept to grasp. That said most drummers in deathcore and death metal are the same way, unfortunately so it's pretty much par for the course at this point.

I have honestly never heard a Deathcore vocalist sound as good, or better, in a live show as they do in-studio. It usually ends up muddy, indistinct or too strained, but this dude is freakin' incredible; the entire band was on top of their game here. Leo brings us yet another insanely HQ show. \,,/
Dan Watson, Dickie Allen, Alex Terrible, Tom Barber, Rok Rupnik, Ben Duerr, Alex Teyen, Phil Bozeman, Cj McCreery, they all sound great live

Yes Greg is an amazing vocalist for his age. But think of the rest of the band. They are so young and if they keep going forward at this rate, they're going to take the scene by storm!

I once took vocal lessons with greg. Such a chilled and friendly dude. But damn, those vocals are straight from hell!
I’ve been listening to them constantly. Haven’t heard a live performance sound this good in a long time. Greg has so many tools vocally, sometimes he has Randy Blythe vibes but he uses so many techniques, he’s absolutely one of the most diverse vocalists out there, and so ridiculously talented given his age. Can’t wait to keep following these guys.

Change from that incredible low to whistle tone live one go it's something nearly imposible in extreme vocal performance, glad to hear growl focused performance over highs.

This band has quickly become one of my favorites, and after learning Malignance front to back, I look forward to continuing my endless repeating of Sheol to do the same. My own vocals improved because of this band just because I aspired to be at his level, and even if I think of myself being close to the same now, he’s got me beat by a good four years 😅 Everyone was on point, this was amazing to finally get to see 👌

I get a job for a cowboy feel from these guys the melody the vocals just the grunt of this band is amazing, they are the true future of deathcore, and its astonishing how great they play live, as time goes on they will just keep growing into the thrones they are creating as they just slide into the world of metal, blown the fuck away by these guys.

He’s using his false chords with a girl scream the one kids do he mixes that and shifts his tongue on the soft pallet of the mouth to make it sound so distinctive ive seen vocal coaching on them and im a vocalist myself if he were to do pure throat he would of strained his false chords harshly
The vocal delivery in the slower part of Kiss of the Wind is just f@cking amazing

Bought the Malignance - EP, and can honestly say it’s one of my favorites. Greg is a monster.
I can't believe those sounds are coming out of that kid's mouth. Even aside from that, I've rarely heard a band that masters a sound that's so absolutely malevolent and heavy. I hope these guys have a long career!

Watched a music video of them was like that kids voice gotta be “studioed” up. Not that it wasn’t believable just didn’t look like his voice. So came here But damn not only wrong but it’s waaay more intense and diverse than I had gathered from the music video. Niice.
