It's a strange juxtaposition between professional and amateur in football in the UK - it's like how public school actually means private school, that sort of thing...the pros are swanning around in tracksuits, the amateurs are suited and booted for a cup tie, the pros have the money, the amateurs have the class.
Spotted you at the game, Sam, and hoped to have a wee chat at some point, but you never seemed to be on your own and didn't want to dive in like a groupie! Had thought you might have done a double header with the 1230 KO. I left early to go to the nearby Scone Thistle v Kello Rovers game in the Scottish Junior Cup first round with a 1430 KO. The 10 min delay for an injury didn't help in that regard. Hope the player is OK. Consequently missed the controversial 3rd goal. Catch you another day!
Hi Sam, so nice to see my home town team Cupar Hearts and my favourite team Aberdeen on your videos shame about the results though, I live in New Zealand so it's awesome to see a taste of home on your awesome channel!
@@keithrobertson5110 I was 5 when they won the Cup Winners Cup and usually at that age you go for the family team or the best team at the time, choices were Dundee Utd or Aberdeen 😃😃
Good work from Nathan on the line. 🙌🙌🙌 Plenty of players in that Jeanie squad with Scotland caps too and agree those pies are class. Was fed one the wednesday before when i was on line v penicuik.
Hi good friend Sam,and at least, there is a Scottish Non League in this competition which is Cupar Hearts and they are one of my favourites ever in this world!!!🙏🏻
My nephew he is 5 has started training with Johnstone Burgh for there home game on Saturday he was a mascot & got to walk out with The Burgh players before the start of the game & at half time he got to play on football on the pitch with the other we boys. Alan Shields Hamilton South Lanarkshire Scotland.
St Johnstone - the only team in the British leagues with a ‘J’ in the name. SJFC. The second biggest team in Perth are Jeanfield Swifts. JSFC. Thanks for letting my mate’s daughter get a selfie. My prediction of 6-0/ 7-0 should have happened but Jeanie took the foot off the gas. And you should have hit Saints afterwards… Blair McInally’s video is a topper too 👍
@@DG-rb7bo Lol why is "ffs" necessary in a comment about what games a football vlogger covers? Comes across as rather unhinged. Most Highland League teams are in Aberdeenshire and Moray, not the actual Highlands. And I didn't suggest he covers it every weekend. But I suppose that hyperbolic strawman matches the "ffs" unhinged vibe you were perhaps aiming for.
In reality there hardly any genuine professional clubs in Scotland. Even the Championship is largely amateur. No one can afford to live on what Arbroath is paying. We can at best support 28-32 actual professional teams and at least 10 of them are operating minimum wage level money.
@@mboothy I didn't say it was, I get the difference but there are so many teams in Scotland who claim to be "professional" but are running a team on less than 1000 fans a week, that isn't financially viable. Under no definition can that be described as a "professional" team. At the very least I expect any team calling themselves to have players and staff whose only job is football and who can at the very least afford to pay staff a living wage. I get that being "paid to play" is technically a definition associated with being "professional" bit if someone pays me £5 to wash a car or cut the grass it doesn't make me a professional grass cutter. They are joke clubs who arent remotely professional. We have far too many teams in this country, have too many leagues and play far too much football. There's the SPL and a handful of clubs, the rest just make up the numbers pretending to be viable businesses.
quite enjoying the lineo chat back to the player
Haha yeah that was funny
Great to be on again. Enjoyed the visit to Jeanfield.
These are some of my favourite types of videos from you Sam, brilliant as usual mate!
3rd goal was offside. Freeze frame at 13.00 & at 0.25x speed. The Cupar Hearts defender was 100% correct. No wonder he was angry.
Great stuff Sam.
If an amateur lino is meant to see that he’s 0.0001mm offside instead of just counting it as in line then fuck knows what planet you’re on
The swifs manager was a nice and respectful fella. Glad on yae pal.
Yae

Great video Sam, and was a pleasure to meet you, you’d be more than welcome to come to cupar to take in one of our league games if you ever fancy it
Great video Sam, always nice to see stories of lower league clubs.
A lot of Saints fans also watch the Jeannies so it makes sense in Perth to sort the kick-offs so they can attend both.

Class vid, would never get to watch these teams 🙌🏻
Gutted I was working, or I'd of been there unlucky cupar hearts ❤
Keep up the great content I’m so glad I won the shirt tonight on stream.
The Scottish Cup should be opened up to include all lower league and amateur clubs who have or could source adequate facilities.
Never realised the difference between the Scottish and English cups!
Great stuff, enjoyed that young Sam :)
Your videos are great, well done
I absolutely loved his vid great to see my local team represented sadly couldn't make it due to work cmon the swifts
Come back down to Bury now we're back up and running at Gigg lane 👍
Loved that mate!
Loving the Lino. Confident and communicative. And happy to interact with fans for a bit of fun. Classic non league.
Yeah maybe so, but got the offside goal very wrong.
This guy must be on a list he does live to record children
Respect to the Lino giving as good as he got 😂
Good win for jeanfield swifts 😊
I don’t support rangers or Celtic but the decision to chop off the goal rangers scored was disgraceful
Irrelevant as far as Jeanfield v Cupar is concerned.

Professional pies at this level.
Cupar is a town not a village, indeed it's the historic county town of Fife.
please do some german amateur leagues!!
Follow the winner of all the games in a winner stats in style series.

I want highland league content. Seems to miss it out for the most part.
Cause it’s miles away ffs for someone who live in the central belt can’t be going upto Rothes and Brora every weekend

Sam recently went to Singapore and Malaysia... surely not unreasonable to request more Highland League matches
Riverting! 🦾

I think you're getting mixed up with full-time/part-time, because the SFPL is obviously not amateur.

3 thousand players lol😂
Zander clark is a better manager than he is a goalkeeper.
Absolute pathetic standard from the amateurs, this standard has went downhill very quickly in fact it’s fell off the cliff
