What ever happened to poor old Fred Dibnah's steam roller. He had another steam engine and all sorts of wonderful gear. I suppose that went somewhere after his death. Wish I could travel to this wonderful living museum but sadly too old. At least John takes us there via the internet.
It is amazing that our best authors contemplated spaceflight, time travel, and general future of the world while these beasts still roamed the Earth.
What an absolute beauty ! A pleasure to see these classic machines so well cared for !
Never get tired of watching these old Steam Engines, thanks John.
Great video, brought back memories of the steam rollers of Wingham Engineering undertaking road repair works in East Kent.
A cheeky Double Boost Tuesday bonus blow out. Sorted my crappy day right out. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😊🥰
Just before I read your comment, I thought to myself that it is a very relaxing clip like these ASMR things.
Dear John,
Lovely footage and hope to get up there someday. From Somerset. All the best.
That was what I needed today John! Great video! Cheers.
Thank you John good to see.
Great Video. 🔥
Thanks John. I love Beamish and love steam so this is great.

Fred's roller is now in the custody of his 2 sons .
The traction engine was bought by a collector.
Much of his stuff went to local clubs /museums
..
Can’t beat a bit of steam at bedtime …

Ta very mucha!
Can anyone else smell it ? I'm sure it's there.
sooo.... when do you get one, John?
Why does he use expensive paraffin and not kerosene to light the fire? Nice engine. Cheers John.
Just right for running Thunberg over with...
