Gorilla families are not familiar with training to go out yet, so for a while, it is only an indoor exhibition room viewing.

Great, a huge indoor playground for Kiyomasa and Annie. It is so big and if the outdoor area also has this format, big applause 👏for the zoo architect!

Wonderful new interior enclosure.
They also seem much more interested in the people. I wonder if it is simply because they havent seen the crowds in a while or is it because the humans are much closer now right up to the glass and gorillas being nearsighted, they can see them better now. Also Nene has a huge belly. Would they have let her get pregnant at her age? It was rare that she got pregnant with Kiyomasa, now it would be a miracle. But it looks really big to me.

I Bosch i, Thank you, Thank you for sharing this wonderful video! It is so nice to see them enjoying themselves in their new home. Even on the high spots. I thought they might be a bit scared to climb that high because they haven't been that high before but in some videos you can see him all the way to the top grates. On this one: th-cam.com/video/YTs1QlMQc-E/w-d-xo.html the lady tries to "interview" Shabani and points the microphone at his face. He does not like it at all and tells her clearly. How very smart of him. If you Google Shabani's name in Japanese シャバーニ you will find a lot of news videos from yesterday. Gosh, I really love this family.
Congrats on the new living area. It's good to see them foraging for their food instead of it just being out in the open for them to pickup. I don't think Shabani likes all the people staring at him. Can't wait to see the outside and what they will do with it.👏👏👏👏👏👏

痩せましたが、だいぶ食べて戻っています。アニーは、体の毛を抜くくせがあるので、
腕や顔の毛が少ないです。キヨマサはシャバーニの様なカッコつけた男の子らしいしぐさをします。🦍

凄い人出だったみたいですね。お疲れ様です。アップありがとうございます。来園者の視線から離れて高所で寝転がれる場所があるのは良いですね。あのオブジェみたいなの何かご存知ですか？フィーダーかと思ったんですが違うみたいですね。来園者の視線を遮る障害物？ゴリラが寄りかかれるように？乗って寛ぐには先が尖ってたり斜めってますよね。子供たちが走り回る時に障害物として使えるように置いたんでしょうかね？不思議ですｗ
見た感じでは、コンクリートの塊です。どんな用途の物なのかは、分かりません。
用途が分かりましたら返信しますね。
常連のお客さんに聞いた話ですが、オブジェに見えるもの全部、空気清浄機みたいです。
旧ゴリラ舎の時は、観覧側もアンモニア臭が漏れていて人の子供達は、鼻をつまみながら臭ーいと言っていました。
新ゴリラ舎は、ウッドチップの所や、空気清浄機のおかげか、飼育員さんも匂わないらしいです。
おお！ハイテクなんですね！ゴリラと名古屋の現代アートの融合？？？とか思ってましたが、ちゃんと理由があって置いてるんですねｗ 遊ぶ時の丁度いい障害物になってるようですし(まあ、フィーダーだったらもっと良かったんですが 笑)、来園者の視線を遮る為にも使えそうですし一石二鳥ですね。ありがとうございました！

Los trasladaron uno a uno. Fue muy traumatico para Shabani y a el lo tranquilizaron. Pero ellos tomaron ventaja y lo revisaron medicamente. Perdoneme si no lo digo perfectamente hace muchos anos que no ablo espanol
Very happy to see that the indoor area is very spacious and has lots of things they can climb. They seem to like it ok! Hopefully the staff will continue to enhance it and offer a variety of daily enrichment.
Only criticism I have is that I wish they made it look a little more naturalistic with some softness here and there. There's not even a trace of brown and green in there! Would've been cool if the poles and platforms resembled trees. Maybe they will do more for it's aesthetic over time.
I'm a little disappointed that we didn't see the outdoor area. Maybe they are just still putting final touches on it. I hope the next video features the outside area!
I agree with you. It's an amazing enclosure but so many bars and lacking in color and naturalistic elements. I wish it had more softness - blankets, hay, etc. But, it is a huge improvement over their former home which was quite appalling.
