Thank you for sharing this❣️ You had me CRACKING UP calling that FO a scallywag! Girlllllllll, yes it has happened to me, too! Dag on obnoxious FO that smells wonderful but behaves like a terrible 2’s toddler! This video is PRICELESS!!!
That rack of micas is making me get out my credit card to shop for more micas. Thanks a lot Mary. Not only am I hoarding fragrance oils, but also micas.
I love Autumn Fig. Never had an issue but I soap with heat transfer method. PS I think your soap could be sliced further for samples slicing off some of the air pockets. :)
Would it be possible to cut them up into small cubes and then reuse them in another batch where you soap at a lower temperature and use a similar fragrance oil?
I imagine I could rebatch them, but actually I’ve already zapped tested them and they do not zap. I’ve washed my hands using them and they lather beautifully. I plan on just using them myself. The fragrance does smell amazing at least.
I almost had a similar thing happen. Thankfully, my plan for my soap was layers, and I divided my batch before mixing each layer. So, mixing the first layer, I added the amount of fo for that one layer, and instantly, it heated and froze. I literally could not even press it into a mould. I stopped and switched fragrance for the next layer.
I’m so glad your entire soap did not get ruined, I definitely do the layered trick with separate mini batches when I know a fragrance will be misbehaving.
