If you practice the Z in public places, you can panic evil doers into thinking a legendary folk hero is back! Fun drill though, I will rep it out.
GTS teaches this but its not called abecedario, its called Alphabito/numirado, and not just learning the alphabet but also spelling words like "Kill" or "Die" . this has even deeper application/meaning in area 12 of the metaphysical aspects of PTK.
I've been practicing a lot of freeflow varied strikes, but I didn't think to do the letters of the alphabet. Sounds like an interesting way to work-in various angles and moves.
Thank you for posting this. My excitement for training just...rekindled 😎
This is great info/drills... TY!
I applaud your teaching and training session on TH-cam. Y our passionate for the art and creative for your followers. Keep the faith going.
This is an awesome drill! It does break the monotony of regular drills, you can create your own patterns, and make them unpredictable.

Wow! I have been training and teaching this drill since I started Arnis 20 years ago. Glad to see it’s still being used
Thank you,
Why did I not think of this?!?
😎
Very intriguing Guru Paul, I have never been taught or even heard of doing the alphabet with the batons, I will be testing that technique out for sure, once again I've been practicing karate and Kali many years and it never stops teaching , or in some cases reinventing different procedures too the same result, just like my profession as a carpenter, it's all about problem solving, Thanks Guru Paul and Kalicenter for giving, ✌😎
That's a cool drill. Would love to see it with the staff.
Great drill , thanks
oh hell yes. that's a simple and yet realy good drill
This was awesome!!! Mind blown! Im going to be playing around with this one, for sure! I'd love to see you apply this to other weapon categories. That would be awesome.
Great drill Paul. I have done this before but most of the time with full slashes, you have planted some new ideas in my head. Thx 🙏
Great stuff 👍 I was shown this by T Phillip using a live blade I totally forgot about it thanks for reminding me 😁
Nice. Yes, translations into other categories might be quite interesting. Thx 4 sharing, maestro👍
Hi Paul..Love this!!! I still practice with my Kali sticks.. One of the few things that survived Hurricane Ian.. need a new carrying bag for them though. 😊
Great stuff Paul. Some more material for me to practise 💪🏽💪🏽
Tnx a lot for the info. More power GOD BLESS

This could also be done with 2 sticks one at a time to improve & be ambidextrous! I always try and do that!
