This real movement should be a great lesson to all. I am surprised that federal government is taking such a long time to resolve the issue. In democratic society people are the power and in some ways it has been expressed and in some ways it has been diverted by lot of people for their personal agenda be it Yograj Singh no Punjabi artist has come forward and spoke about it. But there was lot of sense of togetherness when some Bollywood artist like Kangana said something very ugly but also show the same courage when someone from your own community says something rubbish then only you prove that you are legitimate and that you will always stand with the right thing. This is the problem in India that we choose to speak against when we are comfortable and choose not to when you are not. Being an Indian and Punjabi my support will always be with the farmer in this cause. In my opinion any reform in any field should be always consulted with the respected fields leader first. I think Sikhs are running this movement with strong emotion and lot of buried reality is coming to the surface. Not to mix it with this farmer’s protest but even if this govt takes back these laws then in future if they try doing any reforms or bring any laws and if they are not simply in favour of some of the people then they will keep on threatening. One of thing social media has brought out lot of buried anger and how real is the thought of Khalistan. I also defend their logic because if they feel they are mistreated or not respected then you have the right to express your feeing. India has never produced a unified leader and it was always tribal, cast, religion based politics which has now come to the point that even smallest of friction can trigger strong emotion amongst all kind of people. If all Indian truly respect and wants to work with each other then only country can progress. Punjabi should not allow any sort of separatist leader or anyone defending that cause be it in Punjab, Kashmir, Tamil, Mizoram. There is always been a great sense of separation among lots of states in india. Don’t blame Punjab only since Indian leadership never cared about unifying the country but playing regional politics and being in the power. True example was when BJP made government with PDP and now Shiv Sena making govt with NCP. Point being is when you are simply power hungry and wants to be in power at all cost then that country will always go down. In the end all I want to say any country which stick together regardless of their religion, cast or culture but they care about how they are progressing together in-spite of their differences then only there could be light at the end of the tunnel.
