Ratchet is such a boss. His chest panels ripped open, bleeding energon everywhere, and he still puts up a good fight against Doctor Knock Out. Hardcore. This is one of my favorite one-on-one fights in this season.
When I first saw this scene I was like "RATCHET!" *cries* and I still am like that. Such a great episode--Ratchet is still one of my favorite characters in the show.
Ratchet and Knockout need NEED to have a full episode of their rivalry and just go..at..it as a doctor to doctor full on medical brawl. Ratchet has whooped knockout very indirectly, he jumped out of knockouts way when he used his saw and basically did nothing, and the second time he blind sided him and punched him in the back of the head on the nemesis when knockout was coming out of stasis, they need a one on one fight and soon.
I just love how in the scene prior to this Ratchet had taken down breakdown and managed to send megatron flying with a punch and yet Knockout still got withing punching distance while he was unrestrained. If that were me Id have had soundwave open a spacebridge and some vehicons bring ratchet up.
Funny thing happened to me the other day. You know how Ratchet says pl-ease sarcastically a LOT! Well, the other day my friend was telling me something and i said pl-ease just like Ratchet! I laughed so hard after that and my friend just looked at my strangely. Yep, I watch the show so much I am starting to pick up on antics the characters do! :D AUTOBOTS FOREVER!!!
I'd put ratchet against soundwave or shockwave, actually. Knockout seems more like a rival for Bumblebee or smokescreen since he's the only decepticon car.
@@ShiraFuyu2022 In all truth, yes both Soundwave and Shockwave are easily way tougher than Ratchet. But of course, for the sake of plot, the show does have Ratchet take on Shockwave... and it was a battle that lasted way to long. Shockwave was able to take on both Bulkhead and Wheeljack, so there is absolutely no way Ratchet alone is lasting longer than a few minutes.
@@ShiraFuyu2022 not always true, Ratchet took Soundwave head to head and won, in TFP the Game, and i k of its "not canon" to most fans but I don't really care, of course Soundwave was still in better shape after that battle but Ratchet still won, a temporary victory.
0.16 u can see that he was gg to give up and accept his fate and die. But then when he heard gunshots he knew that his friends were coming so i guess he didnt want to die in the hands of a con so he held on XD I must say he did a very good job at that! ^^
Imo Knockout is prouder than Starscream. He refused to knuckle under when Starscream tried to humiliate and bully him and was pretty defiant when the Autobots held him prisoner in Predacons Rising. I think the only times Knockout begs is when he's stuck in the wall (humiliating) and when he wants permission to dissect CYLAS.
0:34 Reference to Transformers Animated anyone? That spot Knockout nicks on Ratchet chevron, is the same place it's broken off from the doc's scuffle with Lockdown in another series.
Apparently Ratchet was supposed to call out Optimus for Elita One dying during his little rant. And Optimus finally snapped a little and punched Ratchet in the face. But the writers chose against it because they didn't want Optimus to lose his cool in season 1

Knockout needs to really stay in the laboratory... he is very good, but he needs to learn how to fight better. Though, I guess apart of his character is that he's not a very experienced mech...

Ratchet must be pretty tough to fight Knockout while injured.

Knockout is... not a very adept fighter is he? He gets distracted super-easily and gets beaten by a bot whos already got 1 foot in the grave!
Yeah, he's a medic, and while he doesn't seem to hate _fighting,_ per se, he just doesn't want to get hit.

Considering how much Ratchet "bled out" by this scene, the fact he was able to out up as much of a fight as he did is impressive.
