I'll be adding other fixes for the Geberit cistern shortly, in the mean time if you have any questions, just let me know in the comments section .

Great video this. It was exactly what I needed to see as I tackled my Geberit cistern. Step by step, clear as you like. Spot on!

Hi Brookes, I’ve got a concealed Geberit cistern that is leaking water into the pan and I can hear it keep refilling. How can I confirm if it’s the flush valve or fill valve units or the washers. Thanks

I am so thankful for this. As usual the toilet started to leak at 2300 at night on a Saturday. My wife was not happy. Toilets always malfunction but only on weekends. And I did not know anything about these things in the wall. I always looked at them and thought that putting the plumbing stuff in the wall has to be the stupidest idea in history but your video saved my butt. The only remaining question is whether it is safe to use dilute vinegar to decalcify the plastic thing since the calcium buildup is the primary cause. There was plenty around the seal. Thank you again for a great video.

      Hi, thanks for watching,
I would say you have not installed it back quite correctly. It does happen, you need process of elimination to find it.
      Try these steps
Take off the flush plate , press in the right flush rod and see if the flush works without the plate.
If it does, then you have the flush rod slightly too far out or too far in, unclip it and push it back/forward ever so slightly , then turn to clip back in, bit of trial and error need, then but the flush plate back on.
If it doesn't flush once you removed the flush plate, you need to make sure the flush rod is actually hooked on the flush valve, if it isn't then it wont flush.
It's an easy fix, to sort so hopefully you should be ok.

Hi,Yes no problem it could be a few things, so we need to establish what i causing it, so easiest way is process of elimination
1- Remove the flush plate front cover only- is it still leaking?
If it isn't leaking after removing the flush plate cover, it could be your flush rods are slightly to far in , remove the flush rods and then put them back in slightly further back ( push further back) , if they wont go any further as they hit the back of the cistern, then slightly snap them down then lock them in as shown in the video,
Try this and let me know, if it doesn't fix it we can go to next stage, but if your plate is sticking it is generally the flush rods position.
