mine does not enter the hardreset screen what do I do?
make sure the phone is charging while you hold the power key and vol down
Guys, for those who seem to can't get it to work,
I connected mine to the PC, using a charging cable.
*I have not tried just charging it but maybe, just maybe, it will also work.
After that, just do the same process with the device connected to the pc/Laptop.
P.S.

Thankyou so much. Abit of a life-saver (well, phone saver anyway). It's a new-to -me phone and I totally forgot my PIn as Id been using fingerprint access. Then they asked me for my PIn. Horror shock! Luckily I had saved info to The Samsung Cloud and now I will make sure I have location turned on. I think Im comfortable with tech, but being an Idiot wasnt accounted for. Question please, i keep doing the volume down + power button part, its just restarting now turning off. Then im trying the volume up + power key its not doing anything.
Connect a cable to a pc and and your phone and try the instructions again..

I have the same issue but after i've pressed the pwr button and vol down to power down it shortly reboots and does respond when i'm pressing pwr and vol up to reach the recovery mode. Any tips, maybe i'm doing something wrong. thank you

thanks. on mine it also works like this. but when i start it up again you get the set up programm. and pretty quickly i get asked to verify my pin again. which was the whole problem to begin with. i don't know it so i'm still stuck.
I have the same problem. The phone number was disconnected where the Samsung code was being sent to. I don't remember PIN number. Code is being sent to a number that no longer exists.
I have tried over 5 times to make it to the screen to select factory reset. It will not work, please someone help

I tried this method and using the power cable as well, but I cannot get into that restore menu, also Samsung S20 FE, I don't get it....the programming of these devices should be the same, why would it not work on mine (or any others who struggle with it as well)?
I tried many times and it doesn't work out for me, until I saw someone say I must first connect my phone with a charging cable to a PC, then it works.

connect your device to pc by usbc cable
and make sure ur device is visible in computer as logged in
turn off ur device with the cable connected to pc
and now hold power up and switch on button together until the recovery menu pops up
