What a wonderful presentation. You must have covered everything, It was lovely to see the ship in so much detail - you also have a lovely recording voice, very clear and diction is excellent. It is good to listen to your tips as you move around. I have made plenty of notes as I go on Iona to the Canaries in 3 days - it is my first cruise and I am travelling solo (my husband died 4.5 years ago so I've took the plunge and this is my first holiday since he's been gone). Thanks to your presentation I feel that I know my way round a little bit and am really excited to be travelling on Iona. Thank you!!

Ha ha yeah I rely on the GoPro hypersmooth stabilisation for my biking videos and it works a treat there but walking around it can smooth out a lot but doesn't really line up the horizon.
Did you say drunk or drug people 🤔. As we've recently come back from Norway on the Iona. We had eaten in the Horizon after 11pm. We certainly did not see any drunk or drug persons in there at any time.
@@DarrenMansell ooh I was on G222. I was looking to see if I recognised anyone when you had passengers in shot in places but couldn't tell. You did what I did and went round recording and taking pictures at 5am before everyone was up and it was quiet with just maintenance crew about!
@@Chris-zh5bb my phone and watch auto changed back to UK time on the way back and I thought it was quiet for 8am but it was actually still 7am on board
@@DarrenMansell I was sharing an inside cabin so didn't have an idea of daylight or location (apart from the tv) and had phone off. I then set an alarm for 6am on phone... forgot it had been off since Southampton... set it manually anyway but it must have done it when I switched it on in Flam. Anyway got up early anyway 😄 It's the best time to see sun rises and areas with no one about. Did you cover whole ship starting at the front and walking back and forth as I did?. Only asking as didn't know if your video is the final edit or u cut loads out? Which deck was your cabin?
@@Chris-zh5bb yeah I cut loads out but also didn't bother doing any of the cabin only decks. We were in 14230 deck 14 near the front. I've got other videos about the cabin and other parts of the cruise if you look at my channel

Couldn't tell you were on a ship until going up the Norway coast from Olden to Geiranger through apparently gale force 9 and it rocked slightly but not enough for most seasoned cruisers to even notice. The lower north sea was like a swimming pool heading north and south. I think Iona and most modern cruise ships are remarkably stable
Thanks for the vlog. Will NEVER sail with P&O again. Had an awful cruise in the Caribbean last November, they didn't care about the passengers at all and the food in MDR was just dreadful .

Definitely drunk! It's my poor mic and diction. Drunk as in had plenty to drink. No-one was ever rowdy but certainly plenty of merriment

What is the journey like from Southampton to the first destination in Norway? Is the sea rough ?

The ship caters so much , for rougher seas , you’d hardly notice it , incredible 👌
Certainly not a rough crossing , Iona copes extremely well with the rough seas if you sail at these times .

On a cruise, "time" does not exist before 0800. I have proved this using String Theory.
