Significance and Origin of the Narasimhaastaka
Narasimhaashtaka is one of the stotras written by Sri Vijayindra Theertha, an Acharya in the Sri Madhva Parampare. It is said that once the Acharya was given poisoned food by envious folks. Just before Acharya was to eat that food, Lord Narasimha appeared and told Acharya about the poisoned food. Deeply blessed by almighty, Acharya lists the great results of chanting this powerful stotra by anyone irrespective of age and gender, during Sandhya Kaala: Peaceful life, Good health and relief from diseases and pain, Drive away problems related to all demons, bad souls, and evil spirits, relieve each one from all of kinds of fear, remove all obstacles from the path of success.
