This video confirms my own findings, In CM the coffee is amazing, the food is always great and the beer is always cold.
I like chiang mai foods, people, culture, language, and ect.
I am going to Chiangmai tomorrow.
The thing that amazed me most in this video is the selection of Thai music background in each part. It seems like you have a Thai music director with you since the selection of music genre is exactly right for style, place, and context of each story; from Sueng (guitar liked instrument) at Doi Suthep, Northen folksong at the Dinner, and cosy Jazz. Salute!
i just captured the local musicians and music that was playing at the restaurant. i'm so glad you noticed as i really think it adds a lot to bringing the viewers closer to feeling like they're there!
Doi Su Thep is an amazing temple! The still very clearly remember the view from the top looking down on the city and seeing planes landing/taking off! Chiang Mai...what a chill City
I have been to Chiang Mai twice. Both times were for motorcycle tours. First time in 2017 and returned in 2019. Tour included Laos also that time.
One of my absolute favorites places to go...dream of retiring there.

I’ve been to Chiang Mai twice and did not know about North Gate Jazz Co-op. I’ll go there when I can get back into Thailand.

You chose the right time to see beautiful views from Doing Suthep. Just as the sun began to descend on its afternoon journey, the City sparkled for your camera.
I have been to that temple(I was 45kg heavier when I did the walk up those stairs and it was tough) but what a view Chang Mai reminded me of how the Thai people were 7 years ago when I first came so happy ,friendly and helpful. Another place in Thailand that I love

Wat sutep is one of my favorite temple in chaimai ! I’ve been there 3-4 times . You need to try Khao soi while there too. But I didn’t know about the jazz club!
I do enjoy my visits to CM - I usually take a couple of days there after flying in before heading on round the Loop.
I can't suggest any bars, as I don't visit them (although I have friends who loved the Pentatonic rock bar - just a couple of doors from a reggae bar).
Some sai eua with sticky rice & som tam is just about perfect - add in some hung ley and give the senses a real treat!
I was there last year for a week and absolutely love it. My plans were to stay a month in 2020. Hope I can give that a try in 2021. Another good introduction is the Bourdain video, one of my favs in the series.

Oh man! You had a great day in Chiang Mai! Burning season hasn't left a cloudy grey sky, yet. Spent a year in Chiang Mai and loved it! There is so much to do, see, and enjoy. Not a Thai restaurant, but stop by Nic's Cafe on 3028, headed to the Night Safari - great couple who own/run the place with great food!

Jazz club I remember. I have been there once but long time ago.
and I recommend The Riverside club it's BEST Music live and Beer.

If you ever go back there's a fantastic burger joint called Rock Me Burgers. It was so good I went two nights in a row. They had incredible live entertainment as well
