    For those wondering about his hands, the arm over the head (Niels left arm) pulls the chin to create space, then he slips right fist on neck which as he said is pinky knuckle on middle of throat, then his left arm bites deeper to grip his right thumb pad, then clamps elbows and squeeze to finish

    No really able to tell what Neil hands are actually doing in this video. Maybe show upside down like Renzo does next time. Or take a brake and get the camera under both of you so we can see what going on better.
    Just my two cents. Thanks for all you do!!

      Yeah you’re right. Neil does an excellent job of explaining the grip, especially useful is the use of this choke from the half guard.
      I’ve watched it several times now and I understand what’s going on. Thanks for calling this video to my attention once again Nelson. 👍

      John I believe its all about timing, if the person attacking has a better time, yes he can, but if the person defending has a better timing, then I agree with you... But as all techniques in BJJ will win who has the best timing... Thanks for all the support on my channel. OSSS

    • @John2corner

      Thank you for your reply which makes sense.
      I'd really appreciate your opinion on leglock system vs chocking system like the one you show in this video and sth like Marcelo Garcia system. Also, I think your system doesn't heavily reply on leglocks although you do good kneebars. BTW, I have purchased your dvd and your escaping games and halfguard games have improved my game instantly. Thank you.
      Please let me know.

    Neil Melanson shows cool moves and trains a lot of MMA fighters. But how would he do in abu dabhi or in no gi worlds? Plenty of guys he can face like Tom Deblass, Felipe Pena or Abreu.
    You can show cool moves but it's different pulling it off in high levels!

    • @maikogato9906
      @maikogato9906 6 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      PacinoXTC if an active multiple world champ like Bernardo gives Neil his respect and thinks his techniques are brutal. I'm sure he'll do fine. Neil can't compete due to his illness. Look at his toe.. got taken off cos of a disease.

    • @maikogato9906
      @maikogato9906 6 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      John Danaher never competed. Would his cool techniques work? Urmmm fk yeah

    • @highschoolknifefight4610
      @highschoolknifefight4610 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Both Danaher and Melanson are very similar, both are renowned grappling coaches with unique ideas and systems, yet both deal with severe physical disability, which has rendered them unable to compete professionally.
