Tony Atlas’s lifts look very legit. You can tell right away, how the muscles/tendons/joints are stressed and twitching from holding and stabilizing all that weight VS how some of the other guys have 5 plates on the bar and it looks like they’re pressing 225.
All of them were legit kid. Dino's was the most realistic because on the 705 Jesse had to help him. Mean Gene said he got it, but he really didn't. Anybody who's ever lifted free rates and been spotted knows that Jesse helped him on that and he didn't do it alone. The 655 was legit. I met Ivan Koloff a few times, because he lived in Greenville, NC while I was in college at ECU. I always showed him the respect he deserved, because I saw him wrestle in the 80s, when they had to love it, because they got paid peanuts. We talked about religion, as he was very spiritual, like many wrestlers after retirement. We also talked about wrestlers from the 80s and Nikita, who he said lived in Charlotte at the time. He was very soft spoken and humble, and he drove this tiny little old car around. I’d always recognize him and wave, because he always stood out to me. I have one of his autographed photos he signed at events, but mostly I’ll remember how down to earth he was. RIP, “The Russian Bear." RIP Hawk, Dino Bravo, and all the other champs we lost too soon. 🙏🏽

Even Brian Shaw, who is definitely overall stronger than mark Henry can only do around 550lb. Julius Madox can do 780lb and he is in his prime, weighs 450lb and trained only bench for a decade. Mark Henry could maybe do 500lbl
I use to perform dozens of reps with 270 pounds for 'Free Wieght Bench Press' and quarter reps with 495 pounds, if I remember the 45 pound bar starts to bend at 415 pounds, and starts to curve at 650 pounds.
Yea it bends cause I could see it and feel it bend and bounce when doing squats with 405, 4 plates in the mirror for 8 reps. Power lifting for over 500 I think they use heaver bar 55lbs

Dinos weights with bar do add over 700 ...unlike most wrestling stunts you can tell the way the bar was bending could some of the weights be fake certainly but no doubt had over 500 ..but needed a lot of help from the spotter on the final press ...still anything over 500 is pretty impressive

I’m 48 now and went to a local gym that the wrestlers used when they were in and around philly I was about 15 years old at the time . The warlord was there working out with Davey boy Smith one of the British bulldogs , Everyone in the gym was just watching these two workout In awe of the weights these guys were throwing around. I totally believe the warlord can rep that 500 pounds just seeing the weights he was using that day!!! They were doing an arm day and he was close grip bench 410 for reps and preacher curling 265 and at the very end of the workout he did concentration curls, elbows rested on knees with the highest weight they had in dumbbells at the time which were120’s. After he killed his arms!!’ I will never forget that he was the largest in great shape human I had ever seen and I got to speak with him and as scary looking as he was he was a super nice dude.

Tony Atlas was the only one of those close to being legit weights. His lifts look realistic.
I'm pretty sure that one was real. The bar was actually bending, and given his feats of strength, and how it was done, it looks legit to me.
That world title should have been the universal championship honestly that is an amazing looking belt. Don't matter who wore it they looked great
