Looks like a 4-4-2 formation from the gaffer Nigel... Big Ron/Arthur Random bloke Ricky Alan Winston Mark Grant 'Destry' Sanjay David Robbie Solid right back Ian and the other half of the famous 'Mitchell engine room', tenacious midfielder Phil, were unavailable for selection meaning the team was weakened through the forced inclusion of an unknown defender and 'Destry' in midfield, who was obviously lacking match fitness. These factors plus the loss of first choice goalie Big Ron before the second game make these two victories quite the achievement by the lads.
Haha at 4:58 when Nigel said big toes broken his Ron don't you mean big Rons broken his toe this has to be from 1995 I reckon could you upload where Nigel and Claire are playing subbuteo
does anyone remember the episode where there was an indoor football tournament? I have never laughed so much in my life when phil's team is losing and he hacks out on of the other players :L
Grant and Nigel really make me laugh. Nigel: I really hate you sometimes Grant: & I hate you too. (after Pauline's news) Nigel: Big Toe's broken his Ron. Pauline: Aren't you forgetting someone? Nigel: Pauline; great!
I remember that one as well. Since it was ages since I last saw it, am I right thinking Jamie and Jim were in the team as well? - and can you seriously imagine Jim, an old fat guy, in a football team?
Back when Enders could get away with those nonsense filler storylines. They tried two more Vic team attempts, second one Real Walford failed miserably.
Filler storylines do give it more of a realistic side. Nowadays it's just going from one action-packed storyline to the next which would be alright if life was that way but unfortunately life's a bit more plain and mundane
True but when Enders tries to do "The lighter side" people either complain or just get bored (see much of 1989 where the show relied heavily on comedic stories and just about became a clown show)
Nope they had the balance right and this filler stuff made it more believable. It had some explosive stuff a year or two before sharongate etc. debby dying was a sudden realistic blow and have nigels character more depth, grant was going through a lighter phase then became a brute again during his tiffany relationship.
