Hello, Sometimes that happens because glue gets up in where the pin goes. Try taking the mechanism off of the vertical posts and turning it upside down. Then pour some solvent down into the pin and let it soak for a little while. That should free things up.
Matt Strom I believe that yes you can but you may need to remove the driving mechanism off the vertical posts for each corner to allow you to hold the frame sideways under the retractable pin that drives the nails.
it's actually not that nice to work with. wish I bought the better version that doesn't require flipping it over, notice that the guy doesn't show how much of a pain in the ass it is to flip it. can't see what the joint looks like when it's upside down

Hello. Typically the soft wood nails work fine in the plastic composite moulding. Just pre-glue the corners and then drive nails. Thanks.
