Semi related question. I’m also an English Major. I have gone into this major where I feel like I would be happy in any path it takes me. How did you know what you wanted to pursue (job wise) with it.
In all honesty, when I started uni, I wasn’t sure exactly what job I wanted to do! I did have a blog then, and I think that started me down the digital marketing path, I then also started this channel, did some work experience and decided that digital marketing was the job for me!
I’ve been tied between teaching, journalism, and editing since I declared my major. I’m a year and a half in and still trying to figure it out. I think it just takes time. I hadn’t even thought about marketing.
It’s really hard to decide what career is for you! I’d recommend doing some work experience if you can, just because actually seeing the jobs in real life can help you to decide! Marketing is great though!
I LOVE the movie! I do think the movie is very different from the book, where the book almost provides a series of snippets into a period of Susanna Kaysen’s life that she had subconsciously forgotten about for many years, therefore making the book disjointed and very authentic, the movie more cohesively ties all of those snippets together in order to make one joined up story! I think both are great, the movie is more dramatic but cinematically beautiful while the book feels very raw and authentic!

You and Rory definitely look alike, it's almost like you're her lost twin (or she yours) hahaha! Which Ian McEwan book did you not like? I've read quite a few of his and have found them to be so inconsistent. Some of them are lovely and some of them are just straight trash.
I got 86. Pretty good, I guess. Considering that this list is pretty extreme. I mean Rory read all these heavy themed books by the age of like 15? Common. :)
:0 a lot of these books were just a part of my curriculum as a kid lol I’m American so maybe that’s why?? But most of my lit professors were international and MEN ! Idk kind of want to know what it is you have read as I’m assuming you’re English??? Lol
Ooh, that’s interesting! Here, until you get to Uni (where I studied English Lit), it doesn’t matter where your teachers come from as the curriculum is set by the government, so I think there’s a bit more focus on British Authors & also quite a bit of poetry and plays too!

What's the book that Jess took from her room in S2 when they first met?
I got 50 and as a Foreign Lit graduate I feel quite bad :') there's still time to do better, though!
Dont feel bad! I bet you’ve read a ton of books that aren’t on this list! It’s just a fun way to find more books to add to the ever growing reading list😂
@@ciarascorner I agree! I think this just makes you realize that you'll never be able to read everything but it's still a nice challenge :)
Got 74 on this quiz and was mortified af . Rory makes you feel so unaccomplished 😣
i am starting the list soon!
no but why did i think you were literally Rory with that thumbnail HAHAHA LITERALLY DOPPELGANGERS
Omg, I love your videos 😍♥️ love from Brazil
Been looking for this... thanks a lot
I subscribed because Gilmore Girls is my favorite show also!
YES you DO look like Rory !!
Thank you!
how do you like the girl, interrupted movie? would like to hear your thoughts as you've obviously studied the book thoroughly
I think both are great, the movie is more dramatic but cinematically beautiful while the book feels very raw and authentic!
i needed thisssssssss
I got 36 books for “higher than 68% of rest takers.”
I’ve never watched the Gilmores but here I am anyway!
I'd highly recommend Gilmore Girls!
You look so much like Rory! Wow!
you look SO MUCH like rory!!!!
Thank you ahahh!
I got 72! Still so many more though 😬😬
Ooh that’s amazing!
@@ciarascorner thank you! I made it a resolution in 2017 to read a whole bunch of classics so that definitely helped!
I would highly recommend five people you meet in heaven, it is so good!
Does anyone know where her plant pot is from??
That plant pot is from a brand called Orla Kielly
Ciara Foster thanks so much!
i actually read 16 of these books. it's really not that much, but still i am kinda surprised :)
16 is still so many!!
I somehow managed to read 76 of these books. 😂
how do you have the time?
@@FS-rj4xo I set aside at least an hour a day to read. It is the only me time I get to myself so I make it a priority. If I didn't I would never pick up a book. 😂
@@classicbhaer wow!! I wish I would prioritise some time to read. I'm studying most of the day and I find that to be more important than anything else lol. Do you buy all the books that you read or just borrow from the library?
To kill a mockingbird is brilliant.
If you like true crime, you should check out In Cold Blood, it's wonderful.
Odd that this buzzfeed list left off Daisy Miller, which Rory references in season 5🤔
I think the list accidentally mixed up the title. "Say Goodbye To Daisy Miller" is listed, but that's the name of an episode.
14 minutes into the video and realizing that I am not as well read as I thought that I was! Yikes
hahah, that was me... I was just like nope, nope, another nope to literally all of the books!
I remember how Rory carried about 3 books in her back, at all times, in the first season. I assumed she always did.
i got 29, which is more than I thought, but not perfect
no such thing as perfect! 29 is great!
You and Rory definitely look alike, it's almost like you're her lost twin (or she yours) hahaha! However, I don't think Rory aged well (emotionally), as she loses most of her 16-year-old qualities, which to be honest were what made us fall in love with her in the first place... So keep being your wonderful self!!
aww thank you - you keep being wonderful too!
Was quite shocked to see The Fountainhead on there. I LOVED the book, and it says so many things about the creative process-namely, staying true to ones vision. BUUUUT, some messages from it should NOT be taken so literally. It’s a fun and fast read, despite the extremely long page count! 😆
I got 35! How?!?!
omggg you look like rory😍😍sweetie
Which Ian McEwan book did you not like? I've read quite a few of his and have found them to be so inconsistent. Some of them are lovely and some of them are just straight trash.
She literally said Arjuna ARUJNA.. BTW Loved the video🤍
I got 86. Pretty good, I guess. Considering that this list is pretty extreme. I mean Rory read all these heavy themed books by the age of like 15? Common. :)
hahaha, yeah Rory really set the bar high for all of us Gilmore Girls fans! But, wow - 86 is amazing!
@@ciarascorner Thanks. :) I'm almost 40, so I've had time to read haha
Omg you're a Rory doppelganger!!!!
