Coming from an army it's nasty how you reply to him in this negative way. This is why we armys are having a hard time. People believe we are rude, insensitive, and just nasty overall. and it's embarrassing. Many people have different opinions and just because they don't have the same one as you is fine. I understand that you are protecting Jin and the members because of all their hard work and past experiences and because you are an army but this isn't the way you should be dealing with this. This is not what BTS stands for and I'm 100% positive BTS would be embarrassed about how you handled it. Just show love to the members and to those reacting to them and being a part of this wonderful family. I have been an army for 5 years now it's sad the way people see us. If you have nothing nice to say or any constructive criticism then its best not to say anything.

This is precisely why army gets so annoyed every time BTS is looked at through a superficial lens, or industry people trying to figure out what is the appeal of BTS and how they can replicate it - is it their looks? their clothes? their dance moves? They spend so much time trying to analyze it, but they never seem to ask the fans what the secret is. It's just that simple: we love them. They are genuine good human beings who are trying their best to improve themselves every day and give back to the world. IMO, all the rest is actually just bonus stuff.
And music is meaningful. The songwriting also gets me hooked!

I'm 40 and would never have thought I would ever be into bands (kpop or otherwise). Now I adore these boys and deeply care about them, can't explain how it happened but there it is and I now just enjoy the experience.

while watching your reaction and listening to your thoughts on everything i had so much i wanted to say, i don't even know where to start so sorry if end up leaving a huge block of text here but i truly appreciate and enjoy your insights and they make me want to react myself.
first of all -- i agree about the soundtech/mics. it's something we always end up facing on this or that award show, especially when it's headsets? i'm not a tech person on this, i'm saying this merely on years of my observations but i noticed that most of the time when i see BTS live sound struggling is when they have headsets. i personally always end up praying for the soundtech to be as on point as it can be whenever award show season starts because there's been plenty of times the boys been fucked over by meh mics or mixing.
there was one thing you said about how audience chants in korea are more "rabid" and how that's not something the west is used to -- i ended up laughing at that part because it reminded me of 2017, the first time BTS had a stage at the AMAs. holy shit, the AMAs were SO unprepared. because one uniqueness of the ARMY is that regardless of which corner of the world BTS performs ALL sides of the fandom chants the way korean ARMY do. so imagine when US ARMY filled the AMAs building and chanted the hell out of the stage the same way you'd see it in korea. the western sound engineers were so unprepared, they kinda messed up the broadcast sound for the stage because they tried muting the audience so hard they also ended up affecting BTS voices. the situation was a lot better in their 2018 usa stages, they stopped trying to mute the fanchants altogether. you could just feel how western shows were forced to adjust their ways to BTS/ARMY. it's quite fascinating actually.
regarding jin, i think he just matches the worst with bad mics/headsets and choreo singing in general. i saw the man performing live at concerts and i was shocked how strong he was live because i used to think he was the weakest thanks to performance vids i saw on some award shows too. so i guess based on my own personal experience i can't help but think he's just a bad match with bad conditions. i might be wrong but that's just what i think.
about BTS-AMRY relationship. i was very touched by everything you've said. and i completely agree. though, i'm younger than you so i can't tell it from my own experience whether there have been other devoted and supportive fandoms like ours before, but what you said about our intimate relationship with BTS and how it's on such a big scale, that is something i've always thought. i mean, we are interacting with each other on social media like you do with friends/mutuals. it's frequent, unlike how other acts usually only looked towards their fandoms when it was promo time. we talk normally, we share inside jokes. and most importantly, BTS come off as genuine dudes whatever they do and say and i think that's the most essential part of this relationship and why it attracts so many people. and i wholeheartedly agree, neither the media nor korea or casual audiences in general are aware of the scale or depth of it. it's not even that hard to miss it when you pay attention though, i mean, the fact that global fans all over the world literally exported BTS themselves, the fans, without ANY promo help or BTS going around doing stuff.
it's only been since 2017 that BTS been really promoting globally. between 2013-2016, so basically the fans they've gained in that time, were the ones who broke them in in 2017. and all those fans did incredible things to make it so, things that you could shoot movies about. i was there for it all and it even amazes me. we studied charts in every aspect. we made radio projects back in the day when djs used to laugh at us despite BTS already charting. we kept building communities for everything, from promoting, to translating their lyrics so their messages can reach as many people as it's possible. we used to not even have their albums available in the west. we had no amazon links pre-2017. and we still put WINGS onto bb200 #26 (!) with a sales score that kpop acts that are actively promoting and being pushed by 2 labels now STILL can't outscore. ARMY on their own did that.
we've been loving BTS so hard since the beginning that we tried to put them on the world's stage actively pretty much since 2014. you can't imagine how much mockery ARMY went through for it. other fandoms, the very same fandoms who are trying to replicate the success for their own acts now, they were calling us beggars/roaches/rats/ppl seeking western validation etc just because we wanted to give back to BTS, just because we thought they were artists who deserved to be heard everywhere. ARMYs been thinking outside the kpop box years ago and we've been moving differently too.
btw i found it funny when you said your musician friends thought of BTS as international stars and not like their own. it's super ironic and kinda sad. you know why? because 1) BTS is probably the ONLY popular kpop act without ANY foreign members. all 7 members are korean. when you look at kpop how many other groups have that nowadays? almost all groups have at least that 1 token chinese, japanese, taiwanese, korean-american, the english speaker etc member. and i'm not saying that like it's wrong. bc it's not, i get why. but it's just kinda ironic how BTS, the one group that is 100% korean and so LOUDLY proud of of the fact, is seen like that. i know it's because of their international fame, but still. and it's kinda funny also because BTS been doing ridiculously well in korea since 2015! and barely ANYONE knows. i don't think many people know that sales wise BTS outsold the big3 companies in 2015 already. i remember when it was reported and the only thing that came out of it was a sajaegi accusation.
BTS been doing ridiculously well since years ago, but korea is just not aware of it. and you are right in your thinking that it's because of big3. we've always thought that too. it especially came to light in 2017 when k-media was attempting to suppress news about BTS going to the billboards. now imagine if something on that scale is attempted to be suppressed, then no wonder 2015-2016 BTS outselling was buried even easier. just one example of the lot but, NAVER is YG's 2nd biggest investor and it really shows. they've been massively criticized for mistreating positive news about BTS (they used to barely get on main page regardless of hit ratio), but when it's some negative article you bet it's on main regardless if anyone is talking about it or not. it's like an open secret among the kpop community, even internationally. so yeah, i do believe that these "they are more international" feelings stem from how a lot of koreans are/were kept unawares of how well BTS been doing.

The points you made about why BTS is considered more international stars in SK than a Korean group is on point I think. And its really nice that you understand and can see the relationship between BTS and Army at performances like this. BTS's performances really are about giving love and appreciation back to army's and vice versa.
I really think BTS can feel Army's love when they perform because they always get so emotional at their concerts like they're still in disbelief that so many people love them. And what amazes me too is that so many Army's are learning Korean to understand an communicate with BTS better, that's real dedication!

Thank you for appreciating Jungkook and recognizing his talent and hardwork. He is indeed the perfect idol, a whole package. And whats so good about him is how he continues to learn and really work hard and strive to be even better. It really shows, how he continues to improve. He continues to study and shares it to others. He doesn't whine, doesn't complain but just works even harder. Even with injury and pain he doesn't show it, he just give all his best. Plus, he isn't greedy, he's not arrogant, not an attention seeker, he is very humble and he appreciates everyone.

They lip synching sometimes. I mean there are backtrack sometimes only one or two lines or just at the end of a line :) But yes they always sing their songs live :)

I can't stay just a day without watching the song "persona" of RM. This song gives me strength whatever I feel. YG think that their success is due to social media influence. But he is wrong. Even BTS doesn't know what made them that successful, ( May they don't really know how they help people through their lyrics) but ARMYs knows. BTS is succeful because it's BTS!

Id also want to react to some of your reaction that you coined from the perf:
1. The dramatic part was actually part of the Bangtan universe. They usually drop these during award shows so yeah armys really appreciate this
2. Jin usually don't sing some parts to reserve his breathing and energy i guess. But i think it's not his decision alone
3. The airplane part was prerecorded, to give time for the boys to prepare. This is actually aiplane pt. 2. The first Airplane was included in Jhopes mixtape, and i think youd like that since you asked in one of your reacts what that song is
4. There were fancams, where idols reacted to that performance, BTS actually got standing ovation from some idols
5. Jungkook is called golden maknae for that reason, we love our maknae. He was actually scouted by 7 agencies, but he chose bighit after seeing Namjoon (RM)
6. BTS was really underrated, but that was before. The public saw BTS' potential when they were acknowledged internationally. It is only recent when they started honoring them in SK
7. During their recent stadium tours some members really cry, being overwhelmed by armys' support. The fans usually do some fan projects in between. eg, armys from brazil had a project of raising red hearts during Jin's solo while singing with him IN KOREAN. So yes armys are really that deep fandom

One thing I’ve noticed when ir comes to channels interviewing People in Korea about bts they know nothing about them what they stand for what they sing about I would think as much attention as they have brought to Korea they would acknowledge them more .. I can’t understand it ..

You hit the nail on the head about the fan interaction, Jino. Actually made me tear up. When you said "Can you imagine what it feels like" I immediately thought..they tell us! They show us. Last weekend, BTS performed at a stadium in Brazil. I was looking at fancams of 'Seesaw' and 'The Truth Untold' (pls look them up if you have the time) and the energy, the love is palpable. It's not superficial. We genuinely want them to do well - more importantly, we want them to be happy. You can see how grateful they are that we sing together with them. In their ending comments, through their words and tears, their performances, you can feel how sincere they are. How they love us back. So we give back that sincerity. They've always maintained that they are not perfect. They make mistakes. They are as human as any of us. And that's the difference. I wasn’t shading, I was commenting on why his friends call BTS international when they haven’t released an English song while others have. The interview thing I added because some particular fans have gone out of their way to shade BTS on how awkward they seem in English interviews compared to their faves. I usually have to watch your reactions to bts remembering to take it as a subjective opinion. Often that means I hear things I don't like, but I respect what you perceive. The faults you find are just basically adorable and understandable hiccups for us, especially because we get updated about their process with the bangtan bombs and tweets. But for the first time, any reactor has ever stunned me like this. Your words about ARMY and BTS' synergistic relationship really caught me unaware. I had to go back and reevaluate a lot of what I'd already thought about you (like you'd be hypercritical and wouldn't want to go beyond the surface of who bts are, beyond their performances). I think you really understood something about the fandom - that millions and millions of people do not understand - especially because they want to reduce the diversity of the fandom to superficiality of fandoms they've seen in the past. Jungkook is my bias in the group so I totally get what drew you to him (this guy is not just limited to being an idol, he is excellent at everything you can name. Bowling, gaming, sports, boxing, video making, song composing, humour, art etc. These are his innate talents but what will amaze you the more you get to know them all is how much you can see the bts members reflected in him. I don't know how a bunch of 19-20 year olds could raise a kid so well on their own, while juggling the uncertainty of their own futures).
About Jin, I hope you can either react to his cover of Autumn outside the post office or his solo songs (Epiphany/Awake). Ofc, selfish motives, I just want to hear some appreciation about him from you and I think these songs would definitely highlight his amazing voice. Also please do react to Persona (comeback trailer). It's Namjoon's solo intro for their recent album and I absolutely adore the throwback to their old hiphop albums. I'd be very interested in hearing what you have to say for that, music wise!

Agreed on Jungkook. He really is the "ultimate Idol" imo. It's not only because he's multitalented. I mean the guy is 21 and he can sing, dance, rap, compose, play piano, edit video, draw/paint, is sporty and basically nails everything he tries seriously. That alone make him highly entertaining, but he's also very funny and knows how to act just cute enough to get to the fan's heart, while having incredible charisma on stage and being one of the most stable idol out there. I seriously believe that he could be one of the best ever, if Big Hit were to promote him individually.
But I think Jungkook's strength lies within in the group because it take alot of the pressure off him and... well his brothers shaped him into who he is today.

Hi Jino..this is my first time commenting on your video. After seeing all your videos i can tell u are a very intellectual & reliable person. I like seeing your reaction to BTS because it felt genuine, just like BTS. There are things that u could only feel to know.
Yes, I know you'll found a lot of things to criticize them and i totally accept that. Because most of ARMY loves BTS because they are NOT PERFECT. It felt relatable.They do mistakes, they sang unstable sometimes, their voice might not as phenomenal as those singers with amazing techniques, a few of them couldn't even dance before..but they grew from that.. get better step by step.. they move forward, together with us.
We've seen them cry, laugh, fight and learning.. we see them as a Human, just like us, because they're so openly show their feelings to ARMY. As if we have a best friend who we knew their inside n out so much. We're like their cheerleaders or a proud parent who shamelessly scream so loud cheering for their kids.
I think that is why We- ARMY- and BTS has such a deep connection.They always felt like an outcast and millions of us can relate to that, we knew how it feels. Talking to a friend who works at one of the big 3 said they really thought that Big Hit would go out of business. Big Hit only had 1 group, BTS. Seriously, if you think about it, how could BTS really compete? The other agencies had money and many groups. Look at how many Ads the big 3 buys for groups on You Tube to make them seem popular? The Big 3 never thought BTS would get this far. They muffled much about BTS in the early years. They really didn't think BTS had a chance. In the nobodies to legends video, there is the part about having "no money" which was really true. I believe this is another thing that made them stronger. When BANG left the Big Agency, he took his severance package with him to start Big Hit. Also, the Big 3 never imagined the power of Army.
