My citizens seem to really like the Cable cars, not sure if it would help with getting your citizens across the pond, or how good it would look, but it certainly moves a lot of people around your city and does not clog up your roads. just my suggestion, keep up the good work, New Tealand looks fantastic.
@@frauleinfrosch2024 No, stop normalizing shitty games made by big companies. Nobody asked for CS2 and certainly not with a price tag of a full released game while being less-than-an-early-access game.
@@DLockholm I’m gonna be honest the physics and the traffic needed a change like if you got no mods u can’t get past 100k population without collapsing ur city, and also the new realistic things in cs2 is great in my opinion ur just a guy who is annoyed that you can’t get the game if you actually play it without mods it’s still fun, unlike cs1
@@thecoolfriendsunnys7209 I got the game and it's flawed, my regret is not refunding it in time because it hasn't been fixed by now but I really gave it an honest try to no avail. I should've just pirated it And did you actually play CS1 or SimCity 4? Because even Biffa had vanilla cities with +500k population and even fixed bigger cities. In my opinion you are just a brainless shilling coonsumer because consumers most coonsume and shut up in order to accept anything faulty companies shove up your ass.
I solved the issue of dummy traffic by cutting the train line near the edge of the map, have an intercity train station on the connection side, and another non Intercity station right next to it for passengers to switch trains. For cargo I do the same using an asset called "intermodal double cargo station (intermodal double (16x3).crp)" That works really well. I have the Intercity line connected to one platform and my city network to the other. The cargo automatically moves between them.
I hope you ended up putting a cycle route on that really long road out to the other area. Trains can be a nightmare. Something I saw that Seniac does is always leave a 23 long line segment on every T-junction, which is the length of a train, so that you don't get trains accidentally blocking each other because they're not quite off the join. Still one of the best cities I've ever seen in skylines, it's just beautiful.
46:49 Still a bit sad the Biffa didn't make a T-junction in the already low part and went with a tunnel under the tracks but Oh well. OR butt a small bridge into the cargo junction making it a +.
In regards to the Metro fix in the beginning, while a supporting line, especially with a valid target to switch to, may be good, as far as im aware regular metro trains where im from can carry 800+ people at once, so 150 per train is a bit ridiculously low. So expanding train capacity to realistic levels should be the way to go
A few thoughts about metro lines: I've seen a few metro systems IRL, and they generally tend to work like spokes on a wheel. Central metro station at the hub, usually combined with at least a major regular train station and probably a bus hub as well. The metro then connects to other means of transport at more than one point along each "spoke". Buslines that either disperse travellers in the nearby district, _or_ shuttle them sideways to one or more other "spokes" on the "wheel". Each of the smaller hubs is also likely to connect to some other type of rail, such as medium range commuter rail, or trams/trolleys. In Cities: Skylines I often see people either build really long metro lines that serve multiple regions, going on wide loops through a city, or metro with very few stops acting more like medium range commuter rail, and then connect to long bus routes with many stops. I'm assuming that builders like yourself have a much better understanding of the game's mechanics than I do. I would be interested to hear someone go through and explain why a certain combination of travel modes works better in the game than IRL, and vice versa.
@@18robsmith The capacity of rail really struck me a few years back while visiting Japan, when I realised the carriage I was in had comfortable seating for a hundred people, that the train consisted of about fifteen of those, and that trains like this one were departing Tokyo for Osaka every ten minutes...
Are you high? CS2 is literally a dumpster fire. It basically killed the franchise. This is the reason Biffa is re-releasing New Tealand. CO botched CS2 so bad they’ve forced him to have to go to other games and re-release old CS1 content so he can continue to stream for a living.
Ahh, another New Tealand installment to get me through this rainy day at work!

Thank you for improving the quality of my mondays, Biffa! This one ended on a serious cliffhanger. Hope New Tealand will survive this😉
You're welcome 👍😁

I miss the amazing trance music 😭❤
Love ya Mr Biffa!! All your content 😊
This series was so fun! You taught me everything I know about this game and all the fun ways to play it 😁
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks :-)
Awesome stuff Biffa.. keep up the great vids 👍
Thanks 👍
Insane that CS1 still looks and plays better than CS2
CS2 needs more time ❤️ I’m sure the developers will work on it

Need a forest covered section. Not all cities would be a nice touch as well. Some houses in dense woods.

For example in Moskow one metro train can accommodate 1400-2000 people, including 330 seats, so think 150 is big number or not...
150 is very small - the London Underground tube trains will carry between 750 and 1050 in full "sardine mode" (breathing optional).

Simon Fisher isn't to be questioned on the subject.
One cannot have gradations of douchebaggery. One is simply a douchebag.

Bwoooahhh... Bwoah bwoah....
What would the custom parking lot roads look on top of your quey walls?
🤔
one way roads on cargo ports are wrong way, vehicles cross over i think.
I’ve not seen new tealand in a long time, but did biffa ever get to the fort/castle on the other side of the map? Edit: 25:15 it’s visible here
Yes... Right near the end... In the last 10 or so episodes after airports...
where can i see the mods you'er ussing ?
On my discord 👍
@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines awesome thx, btw I'm really enjoying all the content keep it up
Thankyou 👍😁
Great video
Thanks!
My cities always only look half as good 😢
What happen to CS2?
If you mean videos then sub to my channel and see how many I've released each week for the past year! :-)

Ah yeah! :-)
Love this series watched it all but man I've been spoiled with CS2 this just looks so washed out and bland now(not Biff's gameplay just the visuals).
I think CS1 looks more vibrant and livable

CS1 looks more vibrant indeed. CS2 has some dark bland textures and seems to lack the 3D effect.
