Became motor certified back in 2003 (Detroit) and I believe being a motor officer is one of the best jobs within any department... However our training instructors used the term "B.T.C.H.E." (Brake, Throttle, Clutch, Head & Eyes) as for the basic fundamentals in control that motorcycle...

Thank you for this video! Thank you for including where the officers dropped their bikes. I'm a new rider with a big bike to accommodate my height. While I'm not a police officer, I can appreciate when even a professional rider drops. I don't feel as bad when I take time in a parking lot now with my u-turns and other drills. Thanks again!

That’s awesome cool video. Actually learned a few obstacles to practice and a few other tips. Never stop learning to ride!

Thank you so much for sharing this. What I loved the most is the mistakes. We've all been there. Today I have a garage full of some really awesome bikes and I've been riding for 41 years now (fuck I'm old!) but I'm so thankful that I had an NYPD motorcycle cop for a father. I'll never forget his first lesson, "Any asshole can hold onto a bike a 70. A biker does it at 5." Today I ride my dressed 840lb Street Glide around like she's a scooter and the men all just glare in amazement. I gotta admit, it's really sexy to know how to ride a big harley and make the boys drool.

Incredible training and shows how hard these policemen had to work to learn and perfectionate those skills with their bikes. I enjoyed very much the aerial footage and the music. Thanks for posting this excellent video.

I remember Motor Officer Training when I went through. It was one of the hardest classes I have taken yet (with the exclusion of Accident Reconstruction). It was lots of fun, but man did it wear me out. This brought back lots of memories! Thanks so much for sharing!!

Advanced course I'd say. I used to think I was a pretty good rider when I rode every day but I can't compete with these guys.

we just had our motor officers annual competition this past weekend and besides doing something like this BUT with everything all hooked together to make one long course, we also had a event called the tether, where 2 motorcycles were hooked together by a short tether lets call it, and the object was to ride through a setup course side by side with 2 main objectives, #1, not to break the tether, and #2, not knock over any of the cones that were part of the course, so that meant that the 2 motor officers had to pretty much stay right side by side so not to break the tether and to stay close enough to each other where they wouldn't knock over any cones..............
