      I didn't smile after I was stuck with my 77' dodge charger se I referred to it as the electronic lean burn nightmare.. nothing but trouble from day 1. I'm sorry I ever traded in my 71' charger 318 for this brand new hunk of JUNK! The 318-230hp was much faster and more reliable than the 77 ever was!!! Actual value of the 77' comes in under $5000 dollars in mint condition, however you can ask what ever you want, dosent mean your actually going to get it however! And if you over pay for this car, than it's your fault if you get stuck with it'.

      @@davehibbs9111 true... I've seen a few of these on TH-cam and none with that box on the side of the breather that you were talking about......I remember people complaining about them... Fortunately I didn't have any trouble with that while I owned mine . I don't know, that 400 four barrel was pretty stout... I have also owned a duster with a 318.... It was no competition against that 400. That's just my experience though my 318 was two barrel.... And 400 had a big ass Carter on it 4 barrel..... I used to run the hell out of it .... That was back in my youngen days..... I remember that car barely being 11 years old and it was rusted all to hell....

    When I was parts manager for a Chrysler Plymouth dealer in the 70’s in Irvington, New Jersey, I had one for 4 months as a demo. The one I had was with buckets, leather seats, etc..loaded.
    This car was a great idea for Chrysler and although sales were strong, the car came out about 4 or 5 years too late. In 76, people were thinking fuel economy not performance.
    But it has to be one of the best 2 dr. Cars I have ever seen.

    My Dad loved the '75 Cordoba (it was his DREAM car at the time, he passed in '77), I had a "78 Cordoba (VERY TIRED CAR), with the 400 V-8. It was a GOOD car, but the '70s MoPars, if you could get past some of their assembly, were ALL good cars. I WISH today's "cars" were HALF as good!

    Rich Corinthian Leather. I worked for a Chrysler dealer at that time as a tech. Overall great vehicles. A friend I worked with had a 75 then traded and bought a new one with a " Moon Roof" option. The roof leaked so bad and continually that within a couple of months the rear quarter panels rusted out. Needless to say, he regretted the purchase.

    Is beautiful, and has been painted. Don’t see original striping and metallic paint. I had a black 1977, greatest car ever.

    • @ethanwilliams4559
      @ethanwilliams4559 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm restoring one right now. I'm redoing the striping but I'm painting it two tone. Black top from the bodyline. But it's going to come up around the windshield from under the hood and door rather than everything from the bodyline so the black only meets the bodyline on the quarter panel and trunk lid. The rest of the car will be what's called black cherry pearl. So it'll be a black pearl in the shade but a deep cherry in the light.
