    JHS emperor has a trs output where you need a trs why spilt to your next pedal or trs cable! If you open up the pedal there’s a setting you have to change from bypass to buffer to send that signal as stereo! Hope this helps ! So you could add it after the volume if you wanted too.

    • @bryantportales
      @bryantportales  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that's what I ended up doing actually!
      Volume pedal->Emperor (trs out)->mimiq->timeline->M7
      Took a min of research to figure out what that buffer switch actually did but it's buffered -> stereo output & true bypass->mono output (right? lol)
      Either way, thanks for that tip man 🙌🏽

    The emperor will take a stereo trs in. You just need to change it from true bypass to buffered bypass internally.

      Looks like someone already pointed this out as I looked at comments. 👍

    • @bryantportales

      Does it take stereo in? The comment you're referring to; we discussed about stereo out but not stereo input. I think it only takes mono input but does stereo output! Might have to email jhs to get clarification lol

      Thanks! I put in a custom order so that's prob why it's not in his shop for general order. I would recommend this one also:

      A bit cheaper, smaller and simpler if you like this design better. Hope this helps

      @@bryantportales Thanks man! The other one looks good too! What are the differences between yours and the American looper one?

    • @bryantportales
      @bryantportales  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @idakamusic2930 I think besides the smaller size and also that the American Looper one doesn't have the graphics on the front, the biggest difference would be the footswitches. The American looper one has hard click switches. I asked Jason specifically for soft click switches when ordering mine lol. Another small thing might be the lights, I think on the American looper they only light up as white. Mine have red, green and blue. Small differences but they all add up to a great product. The only thing I wish I could change about mine is the size but considering that Jason had to cram all those components (after graciously troubleshooting some stuff with the soft click switches too) I can't complain at all! It's been awesome

    Nice rig man great video 👍 i must say that upon considering a similar board my only gripe was that the cable routing wasnt able to be hidden under the board so in my case it would have to look somewhat perfect for me to put up with looking at it lol my ocd 😂 but none the less a nice compact set up 👌👏🙏

    • @bryantportales
      @bryantportales  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks! I drilled thru the top of the board with a drill bit that fit the included hardware! I don't remember exactly what was the measurement of the drill bit. The other tricky thing is making sure you measure the holes correctly. Other than that, I think that's about it. If you have any other questions, lmk!

    How did you attach the riser to the wood?
    Also does the wood flex? Or is the flat board really stiff? I’m worried about longevity and reliability

    • @bryantportales
      @bryantportales  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Drilled thru the board with a bit that was the right size for the included hardware. As far as the quality of the board, I've had many Creation Music Company boards over the past 7 years. In all of the boards I've got from them, I haven't had any reason to complain or issue with the reliability of their boards. The only reason I've gotten rid of old ones is to make room for a new one lol. The wood ones are very sturdy. I would say that maybe the only board that would flex is their Aero Series, which I've had before. But I believe they've addressed that with their new v3 line. But even if you have any issues, they're great people and I'm sure they will solve any issues IF you encounter with their boards. Can't go wrong with Creation! Hope this helps answer your questions ✌🏽

      @erickdiaz6152 Yeah, I would say the aero is lighter than the wood ones. Not sure exactly by how much, but they seemed lighter by a good amount where it was noticeable, if I remember correctly

    how do you like the hx stomp compared to the combo rubi + dream ? especially the dream

    • @bryantportales
      @bryantportales  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question. I was actually wondering the same thing when I was thinking about switching the Dream and Ruby for the Stomp. Personally, the Ruby and Dream were giving me to much "crackle", the Dream specifically. What I mean by "crackle" is the cab sim seemed to distort or clip very early in terms of gain. I remember having to barely crank the gain to keep a cleanish, edge of break up sound with the Dream. That's why I ended up selling it and sticking with the Ruby for awhile. After switching with the Stomp and using Tonefactor presets, I found that "crackle" to go away some. Not completely, but it's more out of the way and not in your face compared to the Dream. And then when I hit the stomp with drives, it sounds good. I like that sound better than when hitting the Dream with drives. I also saw that wet fx didn't drive the amps as hard as I did with the Dream & Ruby. The last thing is balancing out the volumes of the amps. With the Dream and Ruby, I remember having to constantly adjust the volumes so one amp wasn't louder than the other. With the stomp, I haven't really had to worry about that. Although I will say, the UA stuff felt like it gave a bit more. Because of all those things I mentioned above. It really does come down to what works best FOR you. If you can sit down and play and have a good sound with the UA amps, stick with that. Going with the stomp is a lateral move. Full disclosure, I'm eyeing the tonex lol. We're always changing! Hope this helps some

    • @christianpacode
      @christianpacode ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bryantportales thanks a lot for replying 🙏🏾 it definitely helps! I found out that if you kill the gain on ua dream and turn the boost up a bit, you get a complete clean tone. So im able to get real clean tone on ua dream, for some reason hx stomp tones
      don’t satisfy me, i run it stereo with ua dream. Thanks a lot!
