I absolutely loved this version of Ariana. It shows her musical ability. Also, recently there was a snippet of beyoncé from her private concert and apparently her vocals can be heard 7 to 8 mi away and people are calling her vocals a siren but they sound so amazing
I honestly never realized Ariana had this absolutely stunning and beautiful voice. This accapella version of Over the Rainbow is just superb. Even as she sings pianissimo her voice has great resonance and vibrato. After hearing this piece,I am totally convinced she has one of the absolute best voices I've heard in 40 years of working in the music business and listening to innumerable singers. This rendition of this wonderful (Oscar winning) song gives me goosebumps. Bravissima Ariana !

I always wanted to hear Ariana sing this whole song. I had only seen her sing at the memorial concert after the horrific bombing, and the pure emotion and love overwhelming her so much she couldn't sing the whole song was heartbreaking but also breathtaking. One of the best songs ever and also one of the best singers ever. Trust a theater kid to be amazing!!

her jaw movements helps with HER singing, it might not with others, but it’s something that she finds useful.

Ariana does an amazing job indeed! But she has a good foundation to mimic as those tones originally came from Judy Garland. So I gave Judy a lot of credit.

Ariana’s version sounds amazing. Also she’s a light lyric soprano so her voice will prob sound higher even if it’s the same note. Bc her voice sounds low even in the fourth octave.
It's because they have two diferent voice types, Ariana would always sounds lighter no matter what she's singing.

Wish she’d sing like this more often instead of doing all the runs, riffs and whistle note stuff. It gives her her own identity rather than sounding like a Mariah Scarey clone.
Well "like this" is the style of the character she's playing, not her.
This isn't her "own identity" you idiot. She's using BROADWAY technique, everyone on Broadway sounds like this. Her copying Mariah Carey gave her pop success.
The runs and riffs along with the harmonies in her music are much more authentic to her than this which is a Judy Garland impression pretty much.
This doesn’t really match her music tho. This is for Broadway only. Her riffs and runs are very distinct to her and people have been doing whistle tones before Mariah

Ariana sang it more or less like the 1939 'Wizard Of Oz' version, however, no one has ever sung it better than the original 'Judy Garland' Check out The Judy London Sessions Album version from 1960, as her voice was a lot more mature & dramatic & with vibrato galore.
