I’ve been jonesing for a KPE video… glad you finally got one out! This will be my first OSH experience and looking forward to seeing you! Marketing is a major key to a successful business product! I have a BA and it taught me things that steered me away from starting a business… but then, there’s never a dull moment in the airline industry either (pick your poison)! At least you have some control w/ your own business! I pray for your success & I’ll see you at AirVenture!
Love your channel and watching your builds. I can’t wait to get my private licenses. If you need help with equipment for packaging I would love to help you. I sell packaging machines and do a lot of work in snack food companies! Just in case you find yourself in need of anything for automating packaging. ELC Packaging Machines.
Fantastic news on your upcoming business venture! Wish you all the best and can't wait for the unveiling, I'm sure it will be exciting. Also glad to see your progress on the Super Cruiser and understand that everything takes time. Where did your neighbor move to? Is it temporary, if so, that's too bad as he had quite the homebuilt engine combination.
Len is the one with the V-8 powered Velocity. Gordon had a Cherokee Six that he sold. It was his time to retire from aviation so he moved out of the airpark.
Here’s some completely unsolicited entrepreneurial advice- Whenever possible, keep your suppliers and support associates LOCAL! “Neighbors” will always have better support for you if they know you might show up at their door. Good luck!
Congrats on the new project, Widsh you the best in this endevor. The SD looks great... I really need to get back to the hangar and working on the cricket, but it has been well over 110 in there and that is just way to uncomfortable to have your head behind the panel wiring.
Thanks for the update. I used to have a Cessna 206H and it had sub-panels on the instrument panel. I did the same on my 750 STOL and it worked out great. Like you, I learned that it is almost inevitable that you WILL change your instrument panel configuration at some point! So, the sub-panels allowed me to just change-out a small panel with a new one rather than having to re-do the entire instrument panel. Hope you do get to make it to the Zenith Homecoming!
When I first designed my panel I made it in three sub-panels. I can't remember why I changed it to one full panel. But I agree sub-panels is the way to go.
WHERE the EGT probes goes is not relevant --- as long as the ALL are the same distance from the exhaust ports for each cylinder and that that aren't TOO far away (like at the input to the muffler). The actual temperature is irrelevant. What you are looking for is the relative temperature and temperature difference between cylinders.
I said it was the bouncing bomb, the place where they practiced is only 30 minutes flying from me in the Uk if it ever stops raining over here I will film it in my Cruzer, but for now here’s an official video from a few years ago th-cam.com/video/WT5IbGi6BcU/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared.

I used the Vans electric primer. Tom at TSFlightlines made me a set of stainless lines that run to the cylinders.

Project X? I bet its going to be that your missiles will actually fire.
That would be pretty sweet! Although I think that would get me in some trouble.
