I think I’ve finally worked out why I like this guy so much. You know that kid everyone knew in school who would hit out with the most random and stupid jokes that you couldn’t help but laugh at because his timing was always so impeccable? James is just a 34 year-old, sweater-loving version of that very kid

The first time I ever saw James Acaster I really wasn't sure about him. But I've tuned in now and find him hilarious.
When I saw the "I'm so scared of tunnels" one on the TV, I was crying.
I think when he first came on he tries the whole emotionless comedian thing but that didn't really work for him
My favourite was on another show called Would I Lie to You... this kid SENT HIM CABBAGES and said "OI OI SAVOY", so he covered the kid's room in cabbage leaves XD

I had a similar experience and then I watched his stand-up and now he's my favourite comedian.
Edit: Repertoire is the stand-up im referring to. have not seen his new stand-up unfortunately.

i was never really driven towards his comedy but the more i've watched and listened to him i've grown to realise that James Acaster is a national treasure!

There are zero good arguments in favor of the Brexit. It's just culturally, the British have a massive problem with believing themselves more important than they actually are on the world stage and they think, pretentiously (and ignorantly) that their failings are down to others, not themselves.

He always does! It’s easy to miss bc of his persona, but he’s always rescuing people from punching down situations, or defending people who’ve been unfairly or unfunnily attacked. There is an ethics behind his whole approach which I really appreciate. All done without condescension.

I think he is so technically good as a storyteller than he isn't high. He has created a well-crafted onstage persona. The fact you think he is high, is testament to the persona he creates and brings alive through his gestures and stories.
