I've found Cast on Button Release to be the optimum casting mode; you can press and release the button to cast, or if you need to see the AOE size or range or whatever just hold down the button down to get it right then release to cast - best of both worlds.
Love the royal cowl with build that has mana issues that's if I'm not using the lymhurst cap it's save me on mana dealing with multiple enemy the cool down not long either
I started on EU with 1h Curse and am getting close to 80 spec but i kinda got bored of it for now. Looking for another Mist mage build and 1h frost caught my attention. Idk how efficient it is to switch weapons in this game or if it is worth relocating my fame from curse into 1h frost even or just level frost from zero. Any advice? Edit: Also i am a highly mechanical player (got high ranks in League of legends playing mid lane mages)
I would fame farm your frost from zero for 2 reasons. 1. It is terribly inefficient to remove spec from leveled weapons and you may regret it in the future if you choose to pivot to that weapon again. 2. Fame farming is not too bad if you maybe take a T4 flat set(something cheap you are ok with losing) and fame farming mobs in the black zone in deeper areas were not as many players are roaming. Yeah you might die multiple times to groups or higher levels(I have died more times than I can count fame farming in cheap sets) but it will be worth it in the end and you won't tilt over losing sets that are worth dirt. If you have higher mechanic capabilities like for LoL. Weapons like frost and Arcane would give you a competitive edge as they are heavy skill shot weapons and become very rewarding when you can connect your shots. Hope this helps!

You could start speccing up all the other armor pieces and weapons(like the other frost staves for example) to get that extra Item power to ALL so it helps your main set! As for your offhands, they are VERY cheap to level to 100 using combat fame credits so I would use those to blast them all to 100 and get all that extra Item power there as well! This time I'm planning on starting out as a Frost mage because the class seems pretty fun overall and I'll be starting from scratch so is this build overall worth for dg clears in black zones?
Hey I'm new - The Avalonian build is my goal I've set for myself. I'm curious what is the best way to get to that tier of content and gear quickly as a frost mage? Your gear is great and so high level I'm not sure what is the best way to farm out levels in frost while getting to that tier
How good is frost to mob farm? I am thinking mostly mist camp farming. The current meta is the spike gauntlet but not sure how frost would stand compared to it. Frost looks so versatile... And why isnt the 1h frost more used by gatherers as a get away weapon?
It has a decent fame farm clear! As for gathering it is not a very mobile weapon compared to “runaway weapons” as frost puts you in combat for a-lot of its abilities to get away! I hope this helps!😁
I usually kite them out and never let them get close! But you could use guardian helmet to remove the vile curse stacks before the E pops, but curse staff I have always used the Q3 and played keep away with them!😁

I don't believe you get might with the level up but I may be very wrong about this! The best place to get Might though is going to be in the Mists! I have a video n the channel about it!😎

Frost Nova always as your W if you are worried about needing mobility but if not use the Frost Bomb for good AoE and use the Q1 or Q3 when farming depending if you need more AoE or single Target!😁
DO NOT use druid robe for ava dungeons, since Morgana robe has a 1.5/2 minute cool down. Spamming Q with scholar robe has always been higher dps than druid robe's damage buff You should also switch to "instant cast abilities" in settings for maximum dps The combo with the same build as the video but with scholar robe instead of druid robe: Morgana cape is off cooldown: D->F->W->E->Q(spam)->R(when Morgana cape runs out)->Q(spam) Morgana cape on cooldown: F->R->W->E->Q(spam)->D(when scholar robe runs out)->W->Q(spam)
Good to know! I know they buffed Morgana cape recently but I was going off of the old Ava Dungeon Data that is passed around for builds in Ava Content! I did talk about switching your settings for cast speed so that was covered in the video! I will try switching out the robe next time I run one! I have played this with duos yes, and a DPS either ranged or hard single target dps is good as you can peel and keep enemies away with all of your slows and CC to help your ally either get away or chase easier!😁

Ive had a lot of success with any of the Fire Staffs, particularly the Great Fire Staff or Infernal since they are both autotarget or fire-and-forget.
