Yes and from comments I've read elsewhere, the Korean/Asian idea of Tomboy is different than the Western one. Clothes don't matter. Being called a tomboy is an insult or a girl's attitude and behavior. I think because she is too independent and does what she wants, not what society expects.
“stereotype aesthetic” key word is stereotype! a tomboy is only defined by men as a girl who is boyish, to women it’s a whole ideology. idk if you read the lyrics but the song isn’t about being a tomboy, it actually fits the rock concept and wanting to be “different” and wanting to be able to do stuff that people would consider a “tomboy” also keep in mind culturally. Tomboy maybe different in Korean than what we PERCIEVE it ass

The term 'Tomboy' has changed, even from when my older sister was in her teens and when I was in my teens. We are 11 years apart nearly. Sporty Spice of Spice Girls was what we assumed 'tomboy' was... a girl who was sporty, who did 'boys only' things.
I remember being a teen and 'tomboy' seemed to change to be more about being independent, doing you, being tough and proud of your attitude, not conforming to this cookie cutter idea of what femininity is supposed to be. It's no longer really about the clothes.
SoYeon is the girl in the chair in the graffiti room, as well as in the kitchen. She is the main rapper as well as main writer and producer for the group, shes also the leader if I remember correctly. (I might be wrong, my brain is foggy lol)
This is a different concept and they've been through a lot as a group- like one member leaving, so they're now a 5 member group. They have good music, and this comeback has been good for them, it's different and they've done well with it so far.
Side note- two of the members also lend their voice to the 'League Of Legends' pop group- KDA. SoYeon and Miyeon are the two who partake in those songs, and honestly.. some of them are really good.

Honestly the term tomboy has changed with the times. I think this is their take on it. Feel free to disagree, but I think this one is for the girls.

Redemption 46, I didn’t know you guys were a fashion connoisseur of tomboy apparel but anyways lol I think the concept is like a tomboy not to be literally physically looking like a tomboy but “I wanna be the bad ass bitch who is independent thinker don’t make me a man or a woman label I’m a tomboy and I am idol just like the lyric said! And the chick that was in the kitchen is the leader head rapper and writer and producer of a majority of (G)I-DLE SoYeon ! I think you guys only did one or two of their music video reactions but you can tell that they are not your typical cutesy K-pop girls not to say there’s anything wrong with that concept let’s not get hate in the comments section but she definitely is the main producer of a lot of their tracks she is the main writer and she has her own solo album SoYeon ! Lately under CUBE entertainment their company that they come from had some controversy but I don’t really call it controversy one of the members had to leave if you noticed there’s only five girls there instead of six ! When she opened up the car trunk six balloons came out first that was a representation that there’s still six members in their mind in their heart their independent thinkers these girls do not conform to the norms of typical K-pop and that’s probably why a lot of people gravitate to them because you don’t know what they’re going to do next in their concepts are they going to be angry women or are they going to be more of a docile feminine the concept is wide range with these girls! Their debut song Latata of course is a 180 difference compared to tomboy but it’s still a good song! 👍🙏🏼❤️
