Can you explain why 3 layers of tools (nhibernate , codesmith, plinqo) are needed to create a layer between .NET and an object database. I thought that's what NHibernate is supposed to do? It seems like a problem is solved by introducing more problems and more things to juggle.

+John Michael Stock Hi, The CodeSmith tool is not a framework. It's a tool use to generate code (Some framework CSLA.NET, NHibernate, .NetTiers...etc . You can see the codesmith template for NHibernate when you installed. You can use codesmith to generate code). NHibernate helps you get data from database, you don't need to code so much. (It's a ORM similar Entities Framework but different organization). Thank you !
