This game instantly becomes my comfort game after having played it yesterday. At first I only knew about Dead Plate bc of the hype, andddd well the game was fine. Dead Plate's soundtracks are pretty good though, so my sister recommended me to play Elevator Hitch instead. It's just a point and click game with simple concept of going thru the elevator to get to your first interview, but I loveeeee the execution so much. Discovering the death ends in each floor before actually solving the puzzles is a pretty unsettling experience. If you play firsthand without looking up any guides and spoilers, the horror of anticipating what lies behind each floors really gets to you. It's not really about cheap jumpscares and more so about the unexpected death ends. Now if you're actually trying to play the game properly, the puzzles are easy enough to understand. I got a lot of them right on my first try with my sis without looking up the guide, but eventually we looked it up regardless to get all the ending. The way this game saves your progress after every death until you do the first, the true ending, is also really convenient. Lastly, despite the game's duration being relatively short, the character interactions are excellent to me. Coworker starts off as some kind of jerk but over the time, over the many deaths the mc experienced, the mc realized that coworker is the only thing keeping him company throughout the loops. Their small conversations feel casual but meaningful to me, and coworker starts to really grow on me. He doesn't seem like such a bad guy. There isn't a single end in the game where the coworker ever hurts mc, instead mc is the one capable of hurting him. And I love the main soundtrack. It's very catchy and calming. I love the soundtrack to the 6th floor as well. They're very comfy. Tldr; Elevator Hitch is a really good horror game despite its short duration. It has high replayability, loveable characters, cool artstyle, awesome soundtracks, and the game's unsettling ambience is really spot on. I'd say this is one of the best indie horror games I've tried my hands on, and it instantly becomes my fav next to Ib. I wish it was at least as popular as Dead Plate.
Like you, I first heard abt dead plate before checking out the other games by racheldrawsthings. My fav out of her works is cold front, but this game was so interesting that it's probably a close second

My most hated floor was the fourth one, the creepy children music really scared me that I was so afraid to go around the bedroom 😂😂 whenever I need to check my inventory or stop for a while, I go to the Office floor because the music was so calming. It was my favorite. You've done absolutely well on the soundtracks! This game was great, and it honestly deserves to be more popular ✨️
god, i'm so in love with these tracks. they set the scene so well in each floor. i think my favorite is roof. it really gives the impression that floor 9 is it, that you've finally made it, but as the track wears on, something still feels a little off. it's incredible.
this is genuinely my favorite game of all time, i love protagonist, i love coworker. my friends showed me dead plate and i played it and i was like "coolio!" but then my friend mog was like "oh, simon, youd like this game, its called elevator hitch" i never went back since that day.
this game has a really nice soundtrack, i wish it was on spotify so i could repeat the main theme on loop for hours lol (or perhaps it’s for the best it isn’t on spotify because i’d just be looping the main theme all day LMAO) i looove protag and coworker’s interactions, it even got me to write a small fic after 3 years of not completing any fanfics i’ve tried writing. i found it through dead plate and now i love elehitch even more than it, i wish it was more popular like dead plate but the smaller fandom is kinda nice too. sooo thanks for making an amazing soundtrack for the game!! seriously so memorable i also have a fat crush on protag because he’s so cute and silly- **explodes**

Actually, all are variations from the three sections of the main theme! The office is more displaced due to it's intended to be a happy birthday variation Butchery plays the melody on the cello And the roof is harmonized with a countermelody!
When I first heard Childhood Room music, I felt strange homesickness. I think it was similar to the Dreamcore genre. It's my favorite track. Of course, all the tracks go well with each floor. (used papago)
I am so happy I discovered this game while lying in a no AC room on the east coast in the middle of August. It was just someone’s playthrough video but I immediately fell in love with the soundtrack that played in the background. I listened to the music nonstop for a whole week before I flew back to the Bay Area. I don’t like horror games because of the gore and the unsettling atmosphere but this is the only horror game I can actually enjoy. Bravo to the entire team who worked on it 👏👏

Everyone is talking about their favourite tracks. Im with Radiation team. It really sends me chills while gaming. And it reminds me of Akira Yamaoka a little. Office is the most calming one. Really gives you a break after 5th floor. If people decide to find soundtracks after playing - thats a good soundtracks. Great job)
Listening to the various studio investigrave sound tracks while i work on my deadplate fanfic and man, theyre all so well done and catchy. Even the music for suspense filled moments has me hanging on every note (though in a more frightened way) The roof is definitely my favorite portion. Its so calming

Ik this is me commenting way after this game has been out but as somebody who has played all 4 of the releases studioinvestigrave games so far not only is this one the best this one also has the best soundtrack. The music can sound chill, eerie at the same time, and be manipulated to sound just overall creepy (childhood room) and I absolutely love how the melody plays throughout several of the floors which I only really notice by listening closely (radiation)
Not enough people give credit to hole. It perfectly encapsulates the mystery of what exactly even is in the hole, mainly because of how echoed the song is. It sounds like you're listening it from within the hole yourself.

Each scene/location's track fit the atmosphere very well and I found them triggering the right emotions and reactions for every environment I found myself in while hearing them. I immediately fell in love with EH after hearing about it, it hit all the checkboxes of my taste in games: the point-and-click escape rooms I loved to play when I was younger, the surrealness, the gorgeous art style, the trial-and-error mechanics, the dialogue between characters, etc. It's awesome, and another thing I love most about it is it's amazing music! You've done a really great job in composing this :D By the way, is there sheet music available for Roof? kind of wanna learn it on the piano now ^^

I love the slight static and distortion is some parts of the doppels theme, it always catches me off guard and makes me feel uneasy, so i think its genius! The roof theme is really nice as well!
