Estou no fim... do meu pessoal aqui do Rio de Janeiro só resta eu. Meu sonho era ter muito dinheiro pra poder trazer, sem nenhuma obrigação por parte dessa gente comandada pelo excelente Chamorro aqui pro Brasil, com tudo pago, por uma semana... essas meninas e meninos e também os mais velhos. TODOS. Depois eu podia deixar este "plano espiritual"....De qualquer forma, por causa dessa pandemia, estou em casa há 2 anos e nem quero mais sair. Então meu único passatempo é ficar assistindo vocês... OBRIGADO A TODOS E TODAS.

Watching this again....flawless. Joan Mar, Andrea and Victor playing equally with Joe and Fredrik. Not to neglect the whole band, just perfect timing and tone. Nice tune to start the day of paperwork for me (which is my least favorite) in a real good mood. Thanks Sant Andreu for so many song choices to make almost any day a sunny day.

Great big band arrangement! A true display of mastery of their instruments starting with the 2 veteran trumpeters..wow ! Enter the next young super star Victor and then the inimitable Andrea. Liked the sharing of fours among the 4 trumpeters! Hey wait a minute . Young lady I liked your drumming! Solid accompaniment!. Finally all you musicians tackling this beautiful arrangement. Kudos to you all. Yes Chamorro you. did it again!
What a trumpet line-up in front of the band - Joan Mar Sauque and Victor Carrascosa represented the band really well out there with the guest stars. After the concert I had the pleasure of speaking with Joan Mar Sauque, who told me he was expecting this to be his last concert with the band, as he had reached the age of 21. I am pleased that this was not so, as it has been great watching him continue to improve in subsequent Utubes, so much so that he often sounds more like the of the guest stars.

Indeed. And she is already a very versatile musician. Aside from being a drummer, trumpeter and vocalist in the the SAJB (and Joan Chamorro's other jazz combos), she has also been an important part of other musical projects. Some of those can be found on TH-cam with her name.
It was great that Abril could have a solo spot in this high powered performance. In another video, from a TV show I think, everyone is quite young and I enjoy watching a cute Abril keep the time with a very minimal drum set - just snare and hi-hat. It's as if her right foot is saying "Where is the bass drum?" It's a special pleasure having videos of band members across many years that let us follow dedicated students as they develop style, technique and confidence in the fine musical incubator that Joan has created and operated so well. th-cam.com/video/DobZuNQKW9A/w-d-xo.html

Love the song with all the trumpet solos and big band fills! Ton Felices deserves the medal for his strong walking-bass company of the solos, joined - alternating - by the sophisticated rhythms & harmonies of Jan and Carla! Brilliantly arranged, brilliantly played til the finale!

Wow! What a band ! Too much to take in in one viewing. The augmented trumpet section is a tour de force - Alfons Carrascosa's arrangement for the ensemble is riveting. A wonderful performance by the whole band ! ... Must go now, to replay the video over and over again !!
PS/ Good to see Max Salgado back again on French Horn (trompa) alongside the trombones.
Watching and enjoying -- and then realizing you could sit the trumpeters down, bring in Joel and Scott and the sax kids could put on an equal show (even without Andrea). And then give the trombonists their shot. Amazing talent.

The "Sant Andreu Saxophone Orchestra" has some appearances, one (with Andrea) is Louisiana Fairy Tale from 2016. For a "battle" of the sections, see "2017 Count Bubba".
Paul SJ: Thanks. Watched "Count Bubba" a coupla times. First a battle of the sections, then three guys named Joan make it shootout of soloists. And who won? We did, of course. Luigi Grasso is totally irrelevant to that production. Concentrating on the soloists, I often forget just how good this band full of soloists is as a unit.

Essa baterista está cada vez melhor. Imaginem hoje, já que isso aconteceu em 2017! Maravilhosa, firme mas suave, ataques pontuais perfeitos no tempo certo sem "atropelos". No final o que quero dizer que ela é linda, ainda mais quando canta (ela também canta!) Adoro.

Creo unos de los éxito de "la Banda de Joan Chamorro" ha sido la mezcla y fusión de músicos veteranos con los muchachos, sin que éstos se vean o se sientan inferiores, sin embargo en sus frases muchas veces noto más musicalidad intrínseca en esos jóvenes...
