- Built in 1707, almost half a century after Taj Mahal, this lesser known shrine, situated in the heart of Dehradun, is the reason why the town is named so! The construction was patronised by Aurangzeb who dedicated this place to his friend and guide, Sri Guru Ram Rai. This complex is one of the finest examples of artworks of Mughal times ..with marvellous Frescoes, Marble-inlay work (pachchikari) done by the descendants of artists who worked on Taj Mahal.. this place is an oasis of tranquility in Dehradun.

What a great video and a very intelligent historian. This history is priceless, some ppl challenge mystical powers and sikh history, but if we relate it back with mughal history then it is evident history and such powers exist.

Kya iska mahatva garhwali logo se bhi hai
garhwali logo mein inka bahnt mahatva hai, aap jhanda sahib ki pooja padhati dekhenge to vo ekdum Garhwali reeti rivaaj se ki jaati hai. Inhone pahado mein bhi brahman kiya aur aapko inke aise hi dere (डेरे) phado mein bhi milenge. Pauri Garhwal ke dhumakot ke paas kinath gao mein inka esa hi ek dera (डेरा) hai. Mein hui dhumakot se hi belong karta hu aur mein aur mere poorvaj inne apne isht dev ke roop mein saalo se poojte aa rahe hai.
